Luxury Charter Boat $2 million Refit

Christina James on August 30th, 2018

A crown jewel of charter boats in the South Pacific, she is a luxury motor yacht that can be packaged with pre-post accommodation and other private charter tours or individually customized for exclusive private events or long range charters.

Dependant on location and current weather conditions we cater for any requirement ranging from a day out cruising the calm waters of the Gold Coast Broadwater to a two week scuba diving excursion or fishing exploration trip to some of the most beautiful and remote places on Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.

Cruising between the Gold Coast and the waters of the Great Barrier Reef on the east coast of Australia, this 32 meter (115 Foot) luxury private charter yacht can be charted for corporate use or private use from the Gold Coast over the months of December to April, the Whitsunday Islands August to September, Port Douglas and Cairns, September to November and the exotic East Arnhem Land during the months of April to July.

Book your yachting holiday with us and experience standards of quality and luxury commensurate with all the very best five star international hotels.

Locations & Points of Interest

Our private charter yacht has a yearly travel schedule exploring the eastern seaboard of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef and up in to the exotic and wild regions of East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory.

After our charters have finished on the Gold Coast over the summer holiday period we then depart in April to the famous Northern Territory fishing grounds for specialised charters to chase the famous Giant Barramundi and to do some Bluewater Fishing and Fly Fishing charters in these beautiful remote regions.

We then move our super yacht to the Whitsundays for the idyllic winter months before heading back to Cairns in late September to act as a luxury Mother Ship for the local fishing tournaments or for private family and group boat charters cruising around the Great Barrier Reef islands.

Looking fresh and sleek after her refit completion

Our private charter boat has just recently completed her three-year, $2 million refit programme at Gold Coast City Marina and is now preparing to head north for the Whitsunday Islands.

The extensive refit has seen upgrades and modifications to nearly every part of the vessel including; air handlers, air conditioning, generators, engine rebuild, refrigeration, hull plating, replaced piping, galley equipment, new mid deck windows, audio visual equipment, tankage, water makers, electric hydraulics, engine room ventilation and a complete new fabulously impressive interior design.

Vessel Master, Matthew Smith says, “MV-PO” is a beautiful, classic yacht and the money has been well spent to retain the high quality image of the motor vessel. She is now well up to the highest standard of all luxury yachts on the Great Barrier Reef and very adaptable for the itineraries we have planned.”

The inspiration behind the interior design by Toni Packer have given “MV-PO” a boutique style. “I wanted to work with the bones of the yacht, she is a classic beauty so I have chosen fabrics to be aesthetic yet practical to suit all locations she travels to. The linens, timbers and colours tie in beautifully and the quirky prints and contrasting textiles give a fresh, modern look.”

MV-PO is a classic superyacht design, built from famed Italian Yacht Designers Benetti and now perfectly fitted to cope with the high ambient temperatures in our favourite far North and Great Barrier Reef cruising grounds.

Our yachts refit programme executed over three separate hard-stand periods was a long time in the planning to complete the extensive works required to update and increase the value of the vessel. The result allows us to better deliver the exceptional experiences and services our high profile clients expect.”

“This project wouldn’t have been possible without the exceptional skill base available on the Gold Coast and the tireless efforts of the 500+ people involved over the last three years.

Exclusive Reef & Island Day On The Great Barrier Reef

This tour is special in so many ways, and is unrivalled to all other reef tours in Far North Queensland. First of all, it has the shortest open water crossing to get to the Great Barrier Reef. Fantastic news for anyone prone to motion sickness. Although this tour is a ‘Reef’ tour, it includes a ‘River Cruise’ on the journey there with Island activities on arrival. And a huge PLUS to guests that like to avoid the crowds, it has one of the lowest passenger capacities of all the island tours with a maximum of 100 guests. The destination is to an uninhabited continental island called Normanby in National Park which is part of the archipelago of Frankland Islands. It is located 10km offshore from the mouth of the Russell and Mulgrave Rivers at Russell Heads, which is approximately 45km South-East of Cairns. The Normanby Island has an abundance of wildlife not only in the water, but also on the island itself. The island is pristine, and has its own rainforest and a fringing reef not far out from its sandy shores. There are also coral gardens located further out from the island for the those that want to explore the deeper waters.
