Around 90 kilometres north of Townsville is the Paluma region, a popular mountain retreat 1,000 metres above sea level and surrounded by misty clouds and lush rainforest.

Explore the Paluma Range National Park, which offers beautiful spots to relax, camp, walk and enjoy watching birds, butterflies, and other native wildlife. The park is comprised of two sections; the northern section features Jourama Falls and the southern section is Mount Spec, which overlooks the Big Crystal Creek floodplain.
