Catch muds crab just North of Port Douglas on Cooya Beach and learn how to stalk and spear a fish.
You will also find out which Tropical Far North Queensland plants, berries and fruits are edible and where to find good drinking water in the rainforests.
Whatever you are able to find and catch will be cooked in front of your eyes.

You will be picked up from your holiday accommodation to travel along the beautiful coastal road the Great Barrier Reef Drive up north towards Port Douglas.
Your first stop will be at Cooya Beach which is an important fishing ground of the local Kuku Yalanji Aboriginal people.
One of the Kubirri Warra brothers, Brandon or Linc, will take you on this fascinating cultural walk along the beach, their ancestral homeland.
You will learn about the 3 distinctive ecosystems- coastal reef, mangrove and beach.
The Aboriginal brothers will show you how to fish in a traditional way and they will also teach you how to catch good sized mud crabs and giant Daintree mussels.
Everything you will catch will be cooked up on the balcony of the Kubirri Warra brothers family home balcony for everyone to share accompanied with homemade damper.
You don’t have to rely purely on your hunting and fishing skills to be fed, a sumptuous lunch is served in Mossman Gorge Visitor Centre, at the edge of the Daintree Rainforest.
After lunch, you will have some time to admire the gallery which is filled with local Aboriginal artwork- the perfect spot to purchase some truly unique Australian souvenirs.
After visiting the art gallery you will take a short drive into the heart of Mossman Gorge where you will be taking part of a traditional smoking ceremony.
Ceremony is conducted by local Aboriginal people and essentially is a welcoming ceremony and also serves the purpose of warding off evil spirits.
Smoking ceremony ensures that you will be honoured and accepted while visiting traditional land of Kuku Yalanji people
Explore the southern part of Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest with a knowledgeable guide.
