Our Port Douglas based charter boat is a 40ft Assegai Express flybridge cruiser, custom built in 2017, she can host a variety of day trips on the Great Barrier Reef. Dive & snorkel or pure pleasure cruises for groups or family get togethers.

This charter boat is based at the Crystalbrook Superyacht Marina in Port Douglas and is available for day charters on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef all year round.

She is a highly stable boat with a specially commissioned Seakeeper gyro system to control the movement of the boat and prevent seasickness enabling her to travel smootly in all sorts of weather. She has Furuno electronics, Twindisc joystick manoeuvring system, dive tank storage and wet deck making her nice and functional for a day out on the reef.

A days charter is approximately 9 hours on the reef doing either scuba diving, snorkelling, island hopping or fishing and we provide the crew, catering and refreshments along with the fishing gear, bait and tackle. Guests can BYO alcohol.

When you enquire about chartering our luxury boat we will advise you of the extra costs for snorkel gear, snorkel guide, scuba gear and a scube guide.

On our dive and snorkel charters you can avoid the crowds and have the skipper take you to dive and snorkel locations that you will not see another person or another boat. We may visit pristine sand cays in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef, see turtles and other colourful marine life.

Scuba Diving Restrictions

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.

• Childre are permitted with supervision at all times by parents or guardians
• Due ot the nature of our charters and safety precautions, we prefer children to be over the age of 5 years. However, please enquire if you have a younger family wanting to charter as we may be able to offer an adjusted itinerary

• If the private charter operator has to cancel (bad weather or breakdown) we will advise at earliest opportunity and a full refund will be provided or charter reschedule at your choice
• Cancellations more than 30 days ahead of departure date: you will receive a refund or reschedule charter at your choice
• Cancellations less than 30 days ahead of departure date: you will forfeit the deposit
• Cancellations within 7 days of departure date: forfeit the full cost of the charter. Full payment must be made 14 days prior to departure
• We recomend you take out travel insurance. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard our clients we cannot be held responsible for personal injury or loss due to the actions of the clients which are beyond our control. a signed release will be required for all participants on departure
