When you book a private charter boat for your Great Barrier Reef tour from Cairns we can plan the day’s itinerary or you may choose to visit a particular island or reef just off Cairns. Our boat is geared for fishing and/or snorkel and diving tours for open water certified scuba divers.

What to Expect

Based in the Cairns Marlin Marina we begin our private charter Great Barrier Reef tour according to your required time and on the distance of the particular destinations we are going to be diving and snorkelling. If you are on a cruise ship visiting Cairns or Yorkeys Knob we can arrange our private charter reef trips around your cruise ship shore tour docking schedule.  

Our boat is a KevlaCat 3700 Flybridge Deluxe that is licenced to carry up to 8 guests and her crew on Great Barrier Reef private charter fish and/or snorkel tours; or up to 4 guests on a diving charter.

Full Day Charters (8hrs)

• Our most popular option, as groups can choose 2 activities for the day.
• Example: Reef Fishing in the morning, snorkelling and Cay visit in the afternoon.
• Of course, groups can choose to spend the whole charter enjoying 1 activity of choice.

Full Day fishing charters are popular also.

• Full Day charters are ALL INCLUSIVE. All food and water, esky, and ice to keep any BYO drinks crisp.

Full Day Charters (8hrs) Diving

• Visit two dive sites.
• Enjoyed a Guided Tours by our Dive Master.

Half Day Charters (5hrs)

• Strictly one activity only.
• Half Day charters have the sane inclusions as a Full Day, except we supply wraps and a fruit platter instead of full spread (no one has ever gone hungry on our trips).

Scuba Diving Restrictions

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.

• Hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, camera and your swimming gear if you select the diving and snorkelling option.
• Alcohol is BYO (No glass please) and is only permitted in moderation. Drunkenness and / or disorderly conduct can result in the trip being cancelled and returning to Port with no refund
