Day 1: Cruise and snorkel Green Island

Return coach transfers to your Cairns and Northern Beaches accommodation can be pre-booked for a small extra fee – ask us on booking!

You'll check-in at Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal at 8.30am and depart Cairns Marlin Marina at 9.00am, travelling aboard a modern, fast catamaran to beautiful Green Island, the only coral cay on the Great Barrier Reef with a rainforest! During the cruise to Green Island, your friendly crew will share some amazing marine facts and provide a snorkelling brief to enhance your Great Barrier Reef experience.

Once at Green Island, you’ll have your choice of snorkelling equipment or a glass bottom boat tour –  or you can upgrade to do both! Keep your eyes peeled for the famed orange clownfish (Nemo) and Blue Tang (Dory) once in the water. Green Island is locally known as ‘Sea-turtle Heaven’ and with luck, you will see a number of these amazing creatures.

Enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch onboard your spacious vessel and then take the rest of the afternoon to enjoy more snorkelling or perhaps explore the island boardwalks or relax on the white sandy beaches.
