This distinct Aboriginal cultural Great Barrier Reef tour departs daily from Cairns and visits two outer reef diving and snorkelling sites: Moore Reef and Miln Reef. Spend 8.5 hours on a dedicated snorkelling boat that can accommodate up to 65 passengers, making it ideal for snorkellers and non-swimmers alike.

7.30am: Check-In at the Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal

8.00am: Depart Cairns Marlin Marina

9.30am: Arrive at the first outer Great Barrier Reef site

3.00pm: Depart the second Great Barrier Reef site

4.30pm: Arrive at Cairns Marlin Marina

First Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Site – Moore Reef

2hrs to snorkel and/or scuba dive, and take a glass bottom boat tour.

Scenic helicopter flights are also available at the first site. 

Second Great Barrier Reef Dive and Snorkel Site – Miln Reef

3hrs to eat lunch, snorkel and/or dive. Guided Snorkel Safari is available at this site.

Alternatively, you can relax on the top deck on one of the sun lounges. 

On the return to Cairns

Enjoy afternoon tea before boat journey back to Cairns.  Indigenous rangers will be happy to answer any questions about their Dreamtime stories and Aboriginal culture.

Boarding commences at 8.15am with final boarding at 8.45am from Cairns Reef Fleet Terminal. Our vessel departs Cairns Marlin Jetty at 09:00 arriving at the first reef by 10:30, leaving the reef at 15:30 and arriving back in Cairns by 17:00.

Scuba Diving Restrictions

  • Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
  • Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
  • Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
  • Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.

  • A cancellation fee of 100% will apply if less than 24 hours notice is given prior to departure.
  • Some services may be cancelled or modified as a result of weather/tidal conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.
