We operate two fishing boats to the Great Barrier Reef and offer our guests top quality reef fishing experiences.
Charter Boat 1: surveyed to carry up to 23 passengers, however, for passenger comfort we cap the number to 14 on share charters. We will take up to 16 on private charters but suggest that 15 is the most that can fish at once. She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and large spacious rear deck.
Charter Boat 2. also surveyed to carry up to 23 passengers, however, for comfort we cap the number to 12 on share charters and 13 on Private Charter. She recently underwent a full refit and boasts a new comfortable interior and improved rear deck space. She has a cruising speed of 14 knots and is very stable for her size.

We are a deep sea fishing charter, and usually fish at 30-60 metres depth anywhere in a 50km radius from Cairns.
Be warned, we expect you to land fish up to 10kg or bigger, so hang on!

Full instruction is provided on sustainable fishing practices, species identification and measurement, as well as protected fish species.
You’ll learn everything about the fish found in every location. All fishing regulations and best practices are explained.
Damage to fragile corals is avoided, litter is disposed of in an eco-friendly manner and fishing is always undertaken a safe distance from marine animals and bird areas.
Undersized and unwanted fish are returned to the water quickly and fishing is not undertaken near spawning aggregation or commercial dive sites or pontoons.

WHAT SHOES SHOULD I WEAR ON A FISHING CHARTER?
You can wear anything comfortable that can get wet, bare foot is ok and is preferable to thongs, please don’t wear heeled shoes.
I’M NOT AN EXPERIENCED ANGLER, IS THAT OK?
Our anglers come from all walks of life and have all levels of fishing experience from beginners to serious anglers, we cater for everyone and enjoy nothing more than offering advice to those that are looking to improving their fishing skills.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON A CHARTER FISHING TRIP?
Make sure you bring your hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel, cash and a camera. Otherwise, we’ll look after you!
HOW DO YOU LOOK AFTER MY SAFETY ON BOARD?
Your safety is our number one priority and whilst we want everyone to relax and have a great day, we want it done safely. Our boats carry the latest in navigation and safety equipment and our crew are experienced, well-trained professionals. You can help ensure your safety by always following our instructions.
HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON THE BOAT?
We run with a minimum of 9 and up to 12 or 14 on shared charters. Our boats are large and comfortable.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR CHARTER FISHING?
We have a fully covered deck area on our boats, however, wearing a long-sleeve shirt is always recommended to protect you from the sun and board shorts or comfortable pants. We sell merchandise on board such as caps and t-shirts if you want to look the best out of your crew! Remember to apply sunscreen everywhere, feet, neck and legs too!
I HAVE A DIETARY REQUIREMENT, ARE THERE FOOD OPTIONS FOR ME ON BOARD?
Yes! We cater for all types of dietary requirements - please advise at time of booking
ARE THERE BATHROOMS ONBOARD?
Yes! Both our vessels have full-size bathroom facilities on board.
WHAT ARE THE BEST MONTHS FOR DEEP SEA FISHING?
Reef fishing off Cairns is fairly consistent year-round with just a small variation in the warmer wet season months of January to March when the bottom fishing can be a bit slower and the pelagic species such as Mackerel and Tuna more active.
WHERE ARE CROCODILES IN CAIRNS?
Crocodiles are common in both salt and fresh water in Cairns, particularly around estuaries (where the sea meets land). Don’t worry, there aren’t any crocs where we are fishing.

Tour Operator’s Cancellation Policy:
Share charter bookings can be cancelled or changed up to 48 hours prior to the charter.
If the passenger cancels after this time or does not show up on the day of the charter (‘No Show’) then no refund will be given.
If CRF needs to cancel a charter for any reason then the customer can choose to rebook or receive a full refund.
Prices are AUD, per adult and include all levies fees and taxes.
