Our boats are fitted with the latest in electronics, safety and fish finding equipment with over 2000 GPS fishing marks providing a high quality Great Barrier Reef fishing experience.

There is a large undercover decking area on both vessels, seating for all passengers, swim platform and full-size toilet facilities.

Our all inclusive day is fully catered but menu upgrade are avialble on request.

All fishing gear is provided so you don't have to worry about a thing! 

Large refrigerated ice boxes are on hand to keep your day’s catch fresh for your dinner table that night – it doesn’t get any fresher than that!

We also offer the option to add snokelling to you day (optional extra) and we offer a Twilight/Sunset Cruise up to 18 guests, the perfect way to strat an evening.

Fishing is also a great way to meet new people, so you could also join one of our shared charters. 

Private Fishing Boat Charter from Cairns

There is no better way to make the most of your Tropical North Queensland fishing trip than chartering the whole boat for yourself.

We depart from Cairns Marina.

• Check-in at the Cairns Marlin Marina (behind Shangri-La), D Finger at 6:20am, departure/return times can be altered for private charters but we do need to return by 4.30 pm at the latest
• Depart for the reef, travel time is 90 minutes minimum
• Once we find our destination, we will give a short briefing on reef fishing technique
• Lunch on the boat around midday
• Depart the reef for the trip home around 2pm.
• Return between 3:30-4:00pm
• Have your catch cooked at one of our local restaurants (needs to be pre-organised, please advise at time of booking)

Private Fishing and Snorkelling Charter from Cairns

This is a great charter option for those who may be short on time but would like to go reef fishing and snorkelling on the Great Barrier Reef whilst in Cairns.

It allows for a morning of fishing our fantastic Great Barrier Reef followed by snorkelling in the afternoon.

You will meet at Cairns Marlin Marina at 6.20am for a 6.30am departure. Times can be flexible however remember the best time to fish is in the morning.

We return to Cairns Marlin Marina no leter than 4.30pm.

After lunch it is time for some awesome snorkelling (optional extra)

WHAT SHOES SHOULD I WEAR ON A FISHING CHARTER?
You can wear anything comfortable that can get wet, bare foot is ok and is preferable to thongs, please don’t wear heeled shoes.

I’M NOT AN EXPERIENCED ANGLER, IS THAT OK?
Our anglers come from all walks of life and have all levels of fishing experience from beginners to serious anglers, we cater for everyone and enjoy nothing more than offering advice to those that are looking to improving their fishing skills.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING ON A CHARTER FISHING TRIP?
Make sure you bring your hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, towel, cash and a camera. Otherwise, we’ll look after you!

HOW DO YOU LOOK AFTER MY SAFETY ON BOARD?
Your safety is our number one priority and whilst we want everyone to relax and have a great day, we want it done safely. Our boats carry the latest in navigation and safety equipment and our crew are experienced, well-trained professionals. You can help ensure your safety by always following our instructions.

HOW MANY PEOPLE WILL BE ON THE BOAT?
We run with a minimum of 9 and up to 12 or 14 on shared charters. Our boats are large and comfortable.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR CHARTER FISHING?
We have a fully covered deck area on our boats, however, wearing a long-sleeve shirt is always recommended to protect you from the sun and board shorts or comfortable pants. We sell merchandise on board such as caps and t-shirts if you want to look the best out of your crew! Remember to apply sunscreen everywhere, feet, neck and legs too!

I HAVE A DIETARY REQUIREMENT, ARE THERE FOOD OPTIONS FOR ME ON BOARD?
Yes! We cater for all types of dietary requirements - please advise at time of booking

ARE THERE BATHROOMS ONBOARD?
Yes! Both our vessels have full-size bathroom facilities on board.

WHAT ARE THE BEST MONTHS FOR DEEP SEA FISHING?
Reef fishing off Cairns is fairly consistent year-round with just a small variation in the warmer wet season months of January to March when the bottom fishing can be a bit slower and the pelagic species such as Mackerel and Tuna more active.

WHERE ARE CROCODILES IN CAIRNS?
Crocodiles are common in both salt and fresh water in Cairns, particularly around estuaries (where the sea meets land). Don’t worry, there aren’t any crocs where we are fishing.

A private twilight charter aboard one of our vessels is a great idea for corporate functions, birthdays, Christmas party’s or any time you want to get a group of friends together and enjoy the calm inlets & waterways of Cairns as the sun sets.

Have exclusive use of the whole boat, the cruise can be tailored to your requirements with catering packages and upgrades available on request.
