Alternatively, you can check in at Great Barrier Reef Helicopters office next Marlin Marina at Cairns Esplanade.
Return transfers are also available from the Domestic and International terminals at Cairns Airport subject to availability.
At check in, you will be greeted with a preflight safety briefing before making your way to the waterfront helicopter pad for departure.
All guests will be provided with headsets for in flight commentary from your experience Pilot and Guide.
As the helicopter gently lifts off you will be welcomed by stunning views of Cairns city and its surrounding beaches, mangroves and estuaries.
Flying above Trinity Inlet and the rugged peaks of Cape Flattery and False Cape, you will begin your journey over the blue waters of the Coral Sea.
Learn of the region’s unique eco system and geography as your pilot points out natural landmarks.
Soon you will find yourself flying above the Great Barrier Reef, the largest living organism on the planet and one of the world’s natural wonders viewing the vivid colours and lace like patterns of intwined coral reefs.
If travelling during the winter months, keep your eyes peeled for Humpback Whales and their calves as they continue their annual migration along the East Coast of Australia.
