Cairns Two Day Combo Package Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Full Day Great Barrier Reef Cruise from Cairns

Board our luxury boat for the cruise to the Outer Great Barrier Reef for a day of snorkeling the beautiful coral reefs you have seen in all the brochures.

We will provide you with all snorkelling gear and tuition included. We even have floaties for non-swimmers..

We visit two exclusive reef sites, and the skipper chooses the best one’s on the morning of departure.

On the day we ensure you will also have plenty of time to enjoy relaxing and sun bathing on our spacious boats three deck levels.

On the day of your Great Barrier Reef tour you can upgrade to some optional extra activities including an Introductory scuba dive or Certified dive. 

​For First Time Scuba Divers; after an in-depth briefing from our expert dive staff, we gear you up and jump in the water for the thrill of a lifetime as we guide you through this amazing wonderland.

For Certified Divers; either buddy up with a friend or join our guides as we plunge into the abundance of marine life and explore the amazing ecology of the reef.

​In the afternoon you can upgrade to a ride on our Semi-Submersible Submarine tour (weather dependent), or even take a 10 minute scenic helicopter flight and see the Great Barrier Reef from another perpective.

And for the grand finale we cruise back to Cairns whilst guests enjoy our on-board entertainer for some live music together with a free glass of wine, cheese and biscuits.

Day 2: Kuranda Historic Train and Skyrail Rainforest Cableway 

Kuranda Train and Scenic Railway

After being picked up from your Cairns or Northern Beaches accommodation, we board the beautifully restored historic train and begin our journey up the mountainside to the quaint village known as Kuranda, the village in the rainforest.

It’s here we have free time to explore the Kuranda markets, boutiques and shops, native Australian animal attractions, have a beer and a meal in the Kuranda Pub and have a chat with the locals.

​Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and Gondola Ride

Skyrail then takes you on an amazing experience over Australia's World Heritage listed Tropical Rainforest canopy descending into the forest at two stations, Red Peak and Barron Falls Guests can enjoy spectacular views from three lookouts at Barron Falls station and learn more about the environment from ranger guided tours at Red Peak Station.

Scuba Diving Restrictions

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.
