Custom built to travel long distances on the Great Barrier Reef she is a 47-foot luxury game boat that caters for 12 anglers for a one day charter, 6 anglers for an overnight charter and 4 anglers for an extended expedition charter over a number of nights for fishing tournaments.
Should you have more anglers and keen fishermen wishing to join one of our popular remote fishing trips to the northern sections of the Great Barrier Reef we can provide a larger mother ship to cater to everyone overnight if required.
Departing early morning from Cairns we make our way out to the fertile grounds of the Great Barrier Reef to begin our search for some of the iconic sports fish Tropical North Queensland and the reef is well known for worldwide.
After motoring for one hour we reach the channels where we can find the Juvenile Black Marlin. These mighty fish can range in size from 20lbs to 120lbs and give you a very long fight, so we will lock you down in the chair until you haul the big fish in, then we will tag and release it back into the water to fight another day.
Other prized iconic fish you will catch on the Great Barrier Reef from Cairns are Coral Trout, Nannygai, Red Emperor, Job-fish Sailfish, Spanish Mackerel, Giant Trevally, Yellow and Blue Fin Tuna, Dog Tooth Tuna, Wahoo, Cobia, Mahi Mahi and many other varieties.
If you are particularly coming to Cairns and the Great Barrier Reef for the sole purpose of deep sea fishing then we suggest you plan your holiday around the peak sports fishing seasons of March to December and December to January as these are the months the ocean is alive with all sorts of fish and marine life.
During the months of July to September, you will certainly encounter Dwarf Minke Whales and Giant Humpback Whales as they come to the Great Barrier Reef to calve and find new mates in the warmer waters and put on their breaching displays and sing songs to try and attract each other.
One of Cairns most highly regarded deep sea skippers capatains the boat and her crew. Dan has been plying the waters of the Great Barrier Reef and Papua New Guinea for many years so you can be assured he will be taking you directly to the place you will be hauling in some good amounts of fish for the day and if no luck in that location he will move on quickly to another one to ensure the fish get on the bite for his guests.
Also on board is a deckhand to help you with all your rigging and setting up of fishing gear and they will also clean and prepare the freshly caught fish for you to take home your days catch.
The host/hostess will prepare refreshments and meals for morning tea, afternoon tea and a lunch. Please note alcoholic beverages consist of standard beer and wine and are included in the price of your private fishing boat charter.
When its hot you can put down the fishing gear and take a refreshing dip in the ocean for some snorkel time.
The crew will supply you with snorkelling gear and lycra suits to protect you from the sun whilst you are bottoms up admiring the coral reefs below and all the antics of the fish and other marine life.
Should you wish, the skipper may also call into an island or a coral sand cay so you can get off the boat and take a walk around or have a swim in the ocean off the beach.
As it is a private charter the day is yours to dictate the schedule so just have a chat with our reservations team whilst booking the boat about your plans and we can then co-ordinate it with the skipper and his crew.
We especially love planning charters for special events such as a proposal on a remote sand cay, wedding groups keen to go fishing before the big day and for families.
The engineering fit out is nothing short of brilliant but still simple:
