Start your day with a 40-minute low-level scenic flight departing from Cairns taking you above the tropical islands, coral reefs and white sandy cays of the Great Barrier Reef before spending the day on Green Island.

Cairns Scenic Flight - 40-Minute Great Barrier Reef Scenic Flight

Your 40 minute airplane scenic flight journey will begin from Cairns General Aviation and you will be given a safety briefing and settled into you planes window seats to fly your way towards the Great Barrier Reef and over the northern beaches of Cairns.

Soon your eyes will be welcomed by the crystal clear blue waters and unique coral reef formations of the Great Barrier Reef as you make your way to your first destination, Green Island.

As you continue further above the Great Barrier Reef, you will soon cast your eyes upon the stunning Arlington Reef system.

Upon the marine park, your scenic flight pilot will guide you above Upolo Cay, a white, uninhabited sand island and a fantastic spectacle for those looking to snap a few holiday photos.

Continuing on your journey, you will fly above Michealmas Cay and Middle Cay.

Your low-level aircraft provides the perfect vantage point to spot for marine life as you make your way back to Cairns.

Keep your eyes peeled for Dugongs, Whales, Sharks and if you are lucky, Sea Turtles.

Your scenic flight will then make its voyage back to Cairns.
