Our 108 foot (32.92m) Charter Boat departs Mackay or on request the Whitsundays or Cairns for groups to dive, snorkel, fish with 16 Guests on extended liveaboard charters of 4 days or more. We explore some of the most remote and beautiful destinations on the Great Barrier Reef others never see.

We have been plying the waters off Mackay on the Great Barrier Reef for 30 years and have discovered some of the world’s most amazing diving and snorkelling locations others have never experienced with the commercial group charter boat tours.

Our private charter boat tours are highly personalised and our speciality is catering for big family groups, corporate fishing charters, dive club groups, and groups of friends wanting to get away for a special occasion and to see the wonderful remote locations of the Great Barrier Reef off Mackay.  

Our minimum daily rate is based on 16 liveaboard guests and we can fully cater for up to 24 guests in our 12 comfortable cabins.

All private charter boat tours are for a minimum of 4 days at a time and guest rooms are serviced on a daily basis just like a floating hotel.  

All cabins are ensuite and air-conditioned with hot showers making it the perfect mother ship for any type of charter.

Our charter boat is permitted to ply the length and breadth of the Great Barrier Reef from our home port of Mackay or we may re-locate to another location of our guests choosing.

We also provide extended fishing charters from Cairns for 7 days or more for remote region fishing up north towards the Torres Strait Islands.

We head up near Lizard Island and move north toward Cape Melville, the Flinders Group and Princess Charlotte Bay.

Guests are permitted to bring along their own fishing gear or we may provide fishing equipment on request.

Dive And Snorkel Charters

Diving conditions are great all year round on the Great Barrier Reef with visibility running between 15m to 30m and the water temperature usually between 24c and 30c.

We have the unique opportunity of wreck diving, night dives, deep dives in trenches and swim-throughs as well as ravines and canyons. 

Snorkellers are also well catered for on both shallow waters around coral bommies and island walks.

Snorkelers enjoy themselves just as much as the divers on the Great Barrier Reef.

Catering On Our Private Charter Boat

If you simply cannot get enough seafood you certainly will on one of our liveaboard private charter boat tours as we have a fresh catch every single day.

Your morning begins with a continental breakfast then a cooked breakfast.

Morning tea is always something to look forward to with hot scones, pikelets and cakes.

Lunch is another feast by the onboard chef with a selection of salads and accompanients

In the afternoon its bar snacks with some finger foods like fresh caught fish and seafood

And for dinner it’s a more formal affair in the dining room for a 3 course meal

Aft accomodation:

• Cabins 1 – 4 have two berths in each; 1 upper & 1 lower bunk.

• Cabins 5 & 6 have three berths in each; 1 upper & 2 lower bunks.

Forward Accomodation:

• All cabins 7 -12 have two berths in each, 1 upper & 1 lower bunk.

• All Cabins are air conditioned with own en-suite.

Cabin Servicing

• Cabins are serviced daily.

• Towels are changed at regular intervals.

• Bed Linen is changed midway of a charter 6+ days duration or as required.

• Bathmats are changed with linen.

• Bait on fishing charters is recorded as a total amount used & the total cost is divided equally among guests at the conclusion of the charter.
• We stock Hooks, sinkers, Leader & wire trace aboard for those who do not wish to carry it with them.
• We have an array of; beers, soft drinks, spirits, wines & chocolates aboard for sale as well.
• Sat Phone calls out available @ $3.00 per minute. This charge is recorded & added to your account.
• Extra styrofoam esky if required.

Restrictions

• The charter boat is a licensed Venue - Strictly No BYO alcohol is permitted.
• The vessel is subject to Customs and Police searches.
• We have a strict zero tolerance Policy around illegal substances. Anybody found to be carrying or using illegal substances will be asked to leave the vessel at the nearest set down point & at their own cost.
• Unruly behaviour will not be tolerated aboard. In such instances where this occurs the charter will conclude & the vessel will return to port immediately.
• Gps units, Navionics or any other such location recording devices are not welcome aboard. Use of or suspected use of such equipment will result in the cessation of further vessel movements.

IN-WATER RESTRICTIONS

Scuba Diving Restrictions

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.

• We recommend everyone brings a good hat; sunscreen, spray jacket, and sun proof clothing i.e. long sleeve shirts/pants etc.
• Bring your fishing gear, Spear fishing Kit, Mask & fins if you have some of your own.
• Your keenest sense of adventure!
• It is important to liaise with us or with your trip organiser to make us aware of any needs you may have or equipment you may require. Not all our equipment is held aboard the vessel.
