Our Port Douglas based 51 foot private charter yacht is awaiting your arrival to take your 6 family members or close friends to see places on the Great Barrier Reef others never see.  

Our charter yacht cruises to places on the outer edges of the world famous Great Barrier Reef for private charter tours of 2 days and 1 night and up to 7 nights or more from the marina in Port Douglas.

Our 6 guests on board are well looked after our by our yacht crew and the French chef will be ensuring freshly prepared gourmet cuisine will be served to satisfy all palettes and a friendly mascot is onboard to entertain guests.

Not only will we be snorkelling on our Great Barrier Reef private yacht charter tours, we will be beachcombing and exploring remote islands, stand up paddle boarding around coral lagoons, and lazing on the boats deck enjoying a good book and some sunshine.

Our Port Douglas based private charter yacht is a custom built sailing catamaran that offers spacious accommodation and privacy for up to 6 guests and 3 crew members.

All cabins have numerous portholes for fresh sea air ventilation, fans, reading lights, quality linen and towels that are changed regularly.

Port Douglas Charter Yacht Saloon

Built with comfort and luxury in mind the charter yachts saloon is capable of seating 20 plus persons and makes for a great space for entertaining or for just lounging around after meals to watch movies or enjoy some light music.

The yacht is carpeted with non-skid rubber flooring in the most important areas, and there is a table for 6 guests to enjoy meals together.

Port Douglas Charter Yacht Meals

Our 6 guests will be served 3 meals per day with snacks in between meals freshly prepared by our on-board chef.

Should you have any special dietary requirements we always do our utmost best to accommodate.   

Some samples to tantalize your tastebuds are appetizers of fresh seafood with a chilled papaya salad, followed by a tuna curry, chilli mud crab or a grilled crayfish.

Should we catch some fresh reef fish during the cruise the chef will make sashimi or a nice grilled fish dinner on the stainless steel BBQ on the Aft deck.

Top off that delicious meal with fresh tropical fruits, homemade ice cream or crepe suzettes.

Charter Yacht 2 Day 1 Night Sail Itinerary Example

Opal Reef or 3rd Sister Reef ( slightly less distance )

Day 1.

Departing from Port Douglas in Tropical North Queensland, Australia we begin our private charter liveaboard sailing adventure in the morning and head off for our destination that is located 28 nautical miles offshore on the Outer Great Barrier Reef.

Our sailing time is approximately 4 hours and a great opportunity to troll for Mackerel or Tuna along the way.

We pass by the beautiful Low Isles on our way to Opal reef our premium Outer Reef location, with dozens of amazing snorkel sites to explore.

On this reef alone you can expect to see over 400 species of colourful coral, reef sharks, stingrays, large fish such as the beautiful and friendly Humphead Maori Wrasse, and the occasional sea turtles.

We will be spending our first night sleeping on the Great Barrier Reef with a beautiful coral garden directly behind the Yacht.

At Opal Reef there may be a bit of current and we often engage in exciting ‘drift snorkels’ using our high speed tender.

If you are feeling active you may wish to have a go at stand up paddle boarding, try your luck at fishing, or simply relax and unwind on the decks of the beautiful catamaran in the tropical sunshine.

In the evening our guests just love sitting on the upper decks and gazing at the skyline as the sun sets in the East providing a kaleidoscope of colours across the sky and on the ocean.

After a few re-dinner drinks it is now time to be treated to a delicious meal cooked by your personal French chef.

After a bit of conversation it’s now time to head to your individual cabins for a good night’s sleep and be rocked gently by the waves until you are in a deep sleep.

Make sure you are up early to witness a magnificent sunrise over the Great Barrier Reef and enjoy a snorkel to see all the activity going on under the water before you enjoy a hearty breakfast.

After breakfast there is plenty of time for another snorkel session or two before a beautiful lunch is presented and we begin our leisurely sail home to Port Douglas.

Our yachts embarkation departure point is right in the heart of Port Douglas from the Public Pontoon, located on Ashford Avenue.

If requested a shuttle can be arranged for pick up from Port Douglas or Cairns city at extra cost.

Our private charter yacht has a full communication system on board with satellite phone and Internet facilities which are available for guest use at an extra cost should you wish to keep in touch whilst we are at sea.

She is a 51 foot purpose built catamaran designed for the long term live aboard market on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

• The saloon / cockpit area is combined and was designed to comfortably sit 20 people.
• There is a sit down table for six persons and a 200-lt freezer incorporated into the table.
• State of the art galley with all the mod cons built in including, double gas cooker, double sink, fridge, coffee machine, juicer and microwave.
• A 5 KVA diesel genset is on hand for the AC 240 volt needs
• Stainless steel BBQ oven in situated on the duckboard.
• Top of the range water maker (80 lit/ per hour) is on hand when fresh water is required.
• Outdoor hot shower on the port rear
•  Washing can also be done at any time with a 8 kg front loader on board
• Selden, the world largest mast makers, provided the rig and Horizon Sails provided the sail plan.
• Single line reefing allows for the main to be dropped and reefed from the helm. Along with the furling jib and spinnaker.
• Quality lumar winches and hatches provide muscle and watertight integrity where required.
• Twin 54 HP shaft drive diesel Yanmar engines push the boat along in reasonable weather at 8 to 10 knots. When under sail the folding 3 blade props tuck away to minimize drag allowing 15 to 18 knots to be achieved.
• The aft steps were designed for easy access, getting on and off the boat a breeze.
•  Slatted timber decks provide a safe platform to access the anchor area, ideal for activities including sunbaking, yoga and chilling out.
• The runabout is a 5-metre RIB inflatable, driven by a 20 HP 4 stroke Yamaha.
