We have been flying guests from Cairns to Cooktown, Cape York and beyond for over 2 decades to see and learn about the fascinating history and culture of Far North Queensland on our charter flights and shared charter scenic flights.
Quite a number of our flight guests return year after year to join our ever popular outback Queensland air tours from Cairns as we plan new and interesting bespoke tours to the outlying regions behind Cairns city and the Great Barrier Reef in Australia each new year.
Join us on one of our most popular 1 day flying tours from Cairns to Cooktown and make sure you have your camera ready for the wonderous scenery you will be gazing at along the way as we take a low level scenic flight northwards along the East Coast of Australia along the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef.
Once we land in Cooktown your pilot/host will show all around this heritage town and its special places of interest like the views from Grassy Hill and the fascinating James Cook Museum (when open).
As you walk around Cooktown you will be taken back in time to the arrival of Captain Cook in 1770 and you will learn where he beached his ship Endeavour for repairs.
You host will tell tales of the old gold rush days, and talk about the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander history in the region.
See World War 11 relics and visit the old cemetery, enjoy a lunch and some souvenir shopping
On our return flight Cooktown to Cairns we fly over the mysterious Black Mountains, the Bloomfield River and the lush rainforest covered mountains of the Daintree Rainforest and see the point that Captain Cook named Cape Tribulation.
We soon past over the waterfront township of Port Douglas before flying back into the Cairns Airport General Aviation and disembark to bid our farewells until next time.
