Itinerary

Daintree Rainforest Adventure Day

You will travel a little further north to explore the rainforest via a zip-line with Jungle Surfing between six platforms.

Forget trekking on rainforest paths, zip-lining to each platform will provide you with different views of the varying layers of the rainforest.

Guided by enthusiastic tree huggers you will travel 5 to 19.5 metres above the ground, high up in amongst the tree tops through the Canopy layer, known as the primary layer of the rainforest.

This is where the forest is most dense and fascinating to observe.

Your guides will present you with information about the rainforest’s long history as well as interesting facts about the flora a fauna around you.

This area of the Daintree Rainforest is home to a family of the rare Bennett's Tree Kangaroos which are only found in the rainforest between Cooktown and the Daintree National Park.

They are commonly seen along the zip-line circuit, so while travelling through the tree tops you may be able to get closer sighting of these rare marsupials, possibly even at eye to eye level.

However, there are also many birds, butterflies and reptiles that can be seen in this part of the rainforest.

There are six tree platforms which vary from between 5 to 19.5 metres high off the ground.

Each of the platforms are set amongst the different layers of the rainforest eco system which you will learn more about from your guide who takes you through the whole Jungle Surfing journey.

The views are simply amazing from the varying elevation levels. Not only do you see views of the rainforest from a bird’s eye view, but there are spectacular scenes out to the Great Barrier Reef!

Put simply, there is no other rainforest tour like this.

So if you consider yourself adventurous, and like to go against the grain, challenge yourself with this unique rainforest excursion exploring the oldest continuous surviving rainforest in the world.

This is a personalised small group tour in addition to being Eco- Friendly by being operated on renewable energy from solar panels and micro hydro turbines.

This offsets a minimal carbon footprint.

If you appreciate the natural environment and have an interest it in protecting it, you will pleased to know that trees are grown onsite and planted in Cape Tribulation.
