Diving and snorkelling on a luxury yacht departing from Airlie Beach visiting 2 coral reef locations with a small group of only 16-25 guests. Come and scuba dive for a day or snorkel the coral reef with sea turtles enjoy a delicious boxed lunch on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
Our dive and snorkel tour from Airlie Beach on our 12 metre luxury yacht offers plenty of room for our 16 – 25 guests to move about or sit comfortably in a place to take in the view of the brilliant Whitsunday Islands and the Great Barrier Reef.
Departing daily from Airlie Beach our personalised Great Barrier Reef tour is a relaxed sailing trip with a courtesy bus pick up, more than ample amount of time for snorkeling and scuba diving, and a delicious buffet lunch.
We limit our guest numbers to ensure a very personalised Great Barrier Reef tour for all of our guests to enjoy.
Passengers can make a cup of tea or coffee in the galley, relax in the spacious saloon or sunbathe on the forward deck as we sail our way out to the coral reef gardens of the Whitsunday Islands.
Normally we make a round trip cruise from Airlie Beach to Hayman Island and then back to Airlie Beach 80% of the time, as the weather allows for sailing.
7:00 — Get picked up or make your own way to the meeting point
We can pick you up with our courtesy bus from most registered accommodation places in Airlie Beach, or you can make your own way to the Coral Sea Marina (formerly Abell Point Marina). Sorry no Airbnb pick ups.
For self- drivers park at the southern end of the marina and meet at the Kiosk Café at 7.10am sharp
7:30 — Sail to Hayman Island
On leaving the marina, relax and make yourself a tea or coffee as we head to our first scuba diving and snorkelling destination.
9:30 – Snorkel or dive in Blue Pearl Bay
Blue Pearl Bay at Hayman Island is what we call fringing reef and here the coral is extensive with all sorts of hard and soft corals that are home to a myriad of marine animals.
We will be spending a good part of 2 hours diving and snorkelling this reef.
This is where the certified scuba divers and introductory divers enter the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef.
Snorkelling tuition is given to those guests who have never tried it before
Snorkeling, diving and being part of the fish feeding at Blue Pearl Bay is an absolute highlight of our luxury sailing trip around the Whitsunday Islands.
12:00 – Snorkel at Langford Island
Langford Island is really a long skinny sand cay in the middle of the Great Barrier Reef and the amount of beach here is very tide dependant.
We spend approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour on this sand cay.
Again guests may enjoy snorkeling or scuba diving, or walk along this pretty sand cay and admire the views across to Hayman Island, Black Island (Bali Hai), Arkhurst Island, Bird Island Hook Islands and Stonehaven.
13:00 – Enjoy a buffet lunch on the way back to Airlie beach
On the return voyage to Airlie Beach you can enjoy a yummy boxed lunch and you may purchase beverages from the yachts bar
Our boxed luches are made fresh daily by one of the top Chef's in the Whitsundays, Big Ronny's Catering.
15:30 – 14:30 Get dropped off or walk back home
When we arrive back to the Coral Sea Marina (formerly Abell Point Marina) in Airlie Beach, our courtesy bus can drop you off back to the place of your accommodation.
