About Our Whitsundays Dive Boat
All 26 guests all sleep comfortably in shared accommodation, with both single bunks throughout the boat.
At 67 feet long there is plenty of space onboard for guests to relax on deck, sunbathe, or just read a book in the shade.
The ex-racing yacht now Whitsundays dive boat, was constructed in 1980, whereupon she began her amazing racing career, most notably as a Sydney to Hobart yacht racer.
In 1999 she was refitted to become a comfortable charter boat, and specialise in liveaboard dive trips in the Whitsundays and the Great Barrier Reef.
Our popular dive boat cruises through the Whitsunday Islands at top race speed enabling guests to see more of the beautiful Whitsunday Islands over the 3 days and 2 nights of diving and snorkelling the Great Barrier Reef.
Our 2 day, 1 night dive tour begins with an 8:00am departure from Airlie Beach Coral Sea Marina and out into the aqua blue water of the Great Barrier Reef.
We head to the distant Whitsunday Islands to our first snorkel destination, where our dedicated crew will set the sails and even invite you to assist and learn to set the sails.
Once we are at our first mooring for the day it’s time to cool off and jump in the water to check out the corals and marine life of the amazing Great Barrier Reef.
FREE SCUBA DIVE on offer to both introductory and certified divers.
After a lot of fun snorkelling and scuba diving, we then sail over to Hook Passage, to spend the night sleeping on the Great Barrier Reef.
There are no set itineraries as the trips vary according to the weather, but generally you will sail all around the Whitsunday Islands stopping to swim and snorkel on the fringing reefs, visit stunning Whitehaven Beach and have time to relax and explore.
You will also be taken on a short bushwalk up to Hill Inlet Lookout where you will view the swirling sands and the 7 kilometre stretch of Whitehaven Beach.
Weather and tidal dependent, a typical one-night tour will aim for two to three separate snorkel/dive sites.
In the evenings, the boat will moor in bays and drop anchor to watch the sunset, enjoy dinner, drinks and relax!
