Itinerary

Fraser Island Tagalong Adventure 3D/2N

Your day begins with a 7am safety briefing for drivers, followed by pickups from Hervey Bay accommodation at 8am. From there it’s to the shops to get snacks and any other supplies you require for the tour before boarding the barge at River Heads bound for Fraser Island!

Once you have arrived on the world's biggest sand island, you will check in to your beach lodge accommodation at Happy Valley on Fraser’s Eastern beach. This dorm style accommodation is equipped with hot showers, barbecues, a beach bar and beach access. All your main meals are cooked as a group and dietary requirements are catered for!

All in accordance with the tides over the three days you will have the opportunity to visit the beautiful Lake McKenzie, Eli Creek and Champagne Pool, walk through the tropical rainforest at Pile Valley and Central Station and 4WD down 75 Mile Beach (Fraser Island's own highway with speed limits!) to Indian Head, Fraser Island’s highest point. Take in the stunning views from the headland – as you look out for rays, sharks and even migrating Humpback whales (Jul-Nov). Photograph Maheno Shipwreck, see the Pinnacles coloured sands and meet like-minded travelers all sharing the same great adventure as you ‘tagalong’ in your iconic pink 4WD.

Each night will wrap up back at the beach lodge where you can relax in the Dingo Bar before dinner with new friends!

You will return to Hervey Bay the following evening at approximately 6 - 6.15pm, but as Fraser Island is a remote location it is recommended that you don’t book bus departures for the return evening, just in case there are delays.

Please be advised that they are restricted by car ferry times and tides when replacing vehicles and will not be held liable for delays in delivering vehicles as a result of these circumstances.
  • If extending your hire is not possible, we calculate your refund using the following method: the operator will allow ten useable hours per day for the vehicle, they divide the cost you have paid per day by ten leaving a dollar per hour figure, they multiply the number of hours lost by the dollar per hour and refund this amount.
  • Although the operator will attempt to solve the problem as quickly as possible, they do not compensate for: personal stress due to a mechanical breakdown, missing connecting travel arrangements, use of any other unapproved travel means or accommodation, for having missed places you wished to travel to if you are unable to extend your hire or tides do not allow.
