Shaped like an amphitheatre, the basin is enclosed by a semi-circle of majestic mountains.

With the forest’s humidity and misty habitat, this is an ideal ecosystem for growing rare tropical fruit, and acting as a haven for marsupials, reptiles, and over 450 species of birds – 13 of which are unknown in any other part of the world.

Keep your eyes peeled, you could spot a Cassowary; a 1.5 - 2-metre ostrich-like creature with rainbow markings.
