Waking up early in the morning has never been so worth it! You'll soar up in the sky in a hot air balloon and witness a magical sunrise over the Atherton Tablelands. Then head to the Great Barrier Reef for the day to snorkel, dive and swim with turtles and giant Maori Wrasse.
Just imagine swimming with sea turtles and a huge Maori Wrasse fish called Wally greets you as you enter the water from the floating outer Great Barrier Reef pontoon.
Whilst out in the big blue you will be viewing colourful coral as you ride around nice and dry on the semi-submersible submarine tour and enjoying unlimited snorkeling or even upgrading to scuba diving and other amazing options such as scenic helicopter flights all on the one day in Cairns Tropical North Queensland Australia.
This Cairns tour is the perfect day tour package for Non-swimmers
Now how amazing does that sound?
You will get picked up at approximately 4.00am from your Cairns and northern beaches accommodation for your early morning hot air balloon flight.
The early morning start ensures that you won't miss out on the beautiful sunrise up on the Atherton Tablelands and will be up in the sky just in time for this nature’s spectacle.
Watch the wildlife waking up and the sun's first rays touching the nearby farmlands and rainforest clad mountaintops.
You are literally on top of the world in Tropical North Queensland Australia!
Once your 2000ft (approximately 600 metres) higher-than-clouds hot air balloon flight is over you will have a relaxing hour-long coach journey down the mountains straight to Cairns Marlin Marina to board your boat that takes you to now see the iconic outer Great Barrier Reef.
It takes about 90 minutes to reach the Outer Barrier Reef activity platform - your reef base for the afternoon.
A delicious lunch is included in your combo package tour deal. Enjoy a generous buffet with daily selections of potato bake, various salads, cold meat cuts, fruit, prawns and bread rolls.
If you love adventure, then Scuba-Doo underwater scooters and scuba diving are just some of the optional extra activities you may be looking to try out on the Great Barrier Reef.
Another option is a low level scenic helicopter flight over the Great Barrier Reef to spot manta rays, sea turtles, dolphins and sharks from the skies and see the various lace like patterns of the coral below the gin coloured waters surface.
Try as many or as little different optional extra activities as you wish - the choice is yours, there are so many ways to see and explore the Great Barrier Reef even if you are a non-swimmer.
Must be pre-booked with combo package tour deal
After a fun, active day in the water, you'll enjoy kicking back and relaxing on the leisurely cruise back to Cairns while indulging on cheese, crackers, cakes, coffee and tea on the way. You will reach Cairns Marlin Marina by 5.30pm.
Depending on how far your accommodation is you could either walk or get a bus transfer back to your hotel from the marina (small fee applies).
Alternatively, if you still have some energy left in your bones after that big day then you could either experience the Tjapukai by Night Aboriginal dinner show or take a romantic sunset dinner cruise on the Trinity Inlet.
