A helicopter scenic flight adds a spectacular glimpse of the sheer size and beauty of the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef to your Green Island day tour.
Firstly you will be weighed and then given a flight briefing before you step up into the helicopter to be strapped in and set up with your headsets for your 10 or 15 minute helicopter flight over the Great Barrier Reef.
As you circumnavigate Green Island the helicopter pilot will point out places of interest and provide you with informative commentary on all the sites you will see down below in the water.
Some of the reefs we will fly over on the helicopter flight are Green Island, Upolu sand cay, Vlasoff sand Cay, and Arlington Reef.
Keep an eye out for migrating whales during the months of July to September as the mighty humpbacks make their way to the safe berthing ground of the protective corals on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia.
