Begin your Dunk Island experience with a fast RIB transfer aboard Tornado, departing from the Clump Point Boat Ramp near Mission Beach. Travelling with a small group of no more than ten guests, the ride delivers both safety and excitement while showcasing sweeping views of Queensland’s tropical coastline.
Once on Dunk Island, explore sandy beaches and sheltered bays framed by rainforests and striking boulder formations. You’ll have the option to take a relaxed guided walk along coastal tracks or follow the trail toward Mt Kootaloo lookout for panoramic island views. Secret cave sites add a sense of discovery, and there’s time to rest beneath palm trees or on sun-warmed granite rocks.
Guided snorkeling introduces you to Dunk Island’s fringing coral reef, home to colourful marine species. Snorkel gear and stinger or wetsuits are provided along with safety guidance from experienced local crew. After water time, enjoy locally sourced refreshments and make the most of an hour of free time—swim, wander, or stop at the island café on Friday to Sunday (cash or card recommended).
The tour concludes with a scenic return by boat to Mission Beach.
