What to Expect

Join a half-day scuba diving tour exploring the vibrant inner fringing reefs of the Whitsundays, located within Australia's Great Barrier Reef Marine Park. Departing from Hamilton Island, this small-group dive experience is exclusively for certified divers and is limited to six divers per trip as part of our half day snorkel tour.

Divers will travel to one of several sheltered reef sites selected on the day based on optimal tide and weather conditions, maximising underwater visibility and ensuring a safe diving environment. Each departure includes approximately two hours in the water, allowing you to explore thriving coral gardens and encounter a range of tropical reef fish such as angelfish, parrotfish, and damselfish.

This dive tour is guided by qualified, highly experienced instructors who are familiar with the reef systems of the Whitsundays. It's designed specifically for certified divers who have logged a dive within the past 12 months and are seeking a well-organised and safe dive experience on the Great Barrier Reef.

This tour operates seasonally on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays during May, June, and August 2025, and all divers must present a valid certification card or logbook at the time of booking. A pre-dive medical questionnaire is required and may lead to the need for medical clearance.

Divers aged 12 to 14 can participate under strict supervision, provided they are accompanied underwater by a certified parent or guardian.

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.
