Private charter from Hamilton Island for 4 – 8 hours for one of the most amazing snorkel tour in the Whitsunday Islands. Our yacht is licensed to carry 50 guests, but we prefer to make our Hamilton Island yacht charters more exclusive by accepting small groups of between 2 and 25 guests max.
We are experts on the best reef locations to see brilliant corals and marine life on the reef as we have been sailing the Whitsunday Islands for 30 years.
Our business is EcoTourism Certified and has been recognised as a High Standard Tourism Operator by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.
We can guarantee you will be amazed especially when our onboard Master Reef Guide Lynne Boyce will lead your snorkelling tour or Island walk to personally introduce you to the huge variety of life both above and below the water in the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
Our custom built yacht is a perfect option for very small groups of up to 25 guests or a few couples and friends to get together for a special day to explore the reef in style on a fully crewed private charter yacht.
Each one of our full day snorkel tour cruises that depart from Hamilton Island are planned so that there is ample time to visit the best of locations for snorkeling and sightseeing according to the weather conditions prevailing.
On each one of our day charters from Hamilton Island we prefer to leave early in the morning so we can show you as much of the Great Barrier Reef as possible but it is your private charter so we are happy to depart at whatever time suits our guests.
A late departure may result in one or more activity being impossible to experience.
Guests may charter the yacht from a minimum of 4 hours up to 8 hours for a one day private charter snorkel tour.
We have been chartering in the Great Barrier Reef for over 30 years & I do not believe there is another owner / operator with as much knowledge or experience.
We offer our "Adventures in Paradise" during the WARM, DRY months of June to October which is THE VERY BEST time of the year to experience the Great Barrier Reef, so you are certainly visiting at THE best time of the year!
The remainder of the year we relocate to Sydney Harbour for the Summer / Autumn months.
We usually conduct live aboard “Expedition” cruises for small groups, where guests can privately charter from 4 days / 3 nights, OR join others for 7 days /6 nights, visiting remote and remarkable locations where entering the magical world of colourful coral gardens is as close as just jumping off the back of our boat.
We also conduct PRIVATE day charters from Hamilton Island when we have a break in our live aboard cruises.
The most popular destination for a day cruise from Hamilton Island is Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet.
There are not many corals in this vicinity so we have to travel further.
If the wind is blowing from the north we can visit a special location where only a few charter boats permitted visit.
The corals at this location are spectacular because they were spared from Tropical Cyclone Debby destructive winds.
Dependant on the time of our private yacht departure from Hamilton Island we may take our guests to see the famous Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet, beautiful Bait Reef or Hazelwood Island.
These are just some of our favourite snorkelling locations in the magical Whitsunday Islands.
Guests can sit back on our big spacious yacht and enjoy the pleasure of sailing under the yachts big sheets reminiscent of a bygone era.
If feeling inspired by the fresh salt air guests can try their hand at taking the wheel and experiencing true “big boat” sailing on the smooth waters of Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
Lynne is your personal snorkelling guide and Conchological expert for the day and she will lead you to places where friendly fish will eat right out of your hand and swim up to your mask to look you right in the eye as if to say “Welcome to my world”!
By the time it’s time to sail the private charter yacht back to Hamilton Island, you will have gained a full appreciation for the wonders of nature both above and below the waters of the intriguing Great Barrier Reef in Australia.

For a day charter the minimum charter is 4 hours but that is virtually a short sightseeing sail with quick stop at a local beach but that would not visit Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet.
To cover the distance from Hamilton Island to these 2 iconic locations takes us a minimum of 2 hours each way under motor and longer if you want to sail (depends on the wind direction and strength)
When you add the time you need to spend at both these locations, and snorkel (there are no corals at Whitehaven Beach just pure white sand so the snorkelling is enjoyed at another location) a day cruise will take at least 7 to 8 hours.
We can begin as early as you wish and can return as late as you want so that you maximise your experience at the beach that has been rated by TripAdvisor as one of the ten best beaches in the world ! We can carry up to 25 guests but frequently welcome much smaller groups.
In 2019, The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (GBRMPA) conferred the title of Master Reef Guide on Lynne, (this is their highest award, saved for outstanding Citizen Scientists).
On snorkelling excursions, Lynne is always in the water to guide our guests at all times, ensuring all the best corals and fish are observed at close quarters, and to inform guests the names of the fish and corals that they are viewing!
John is always nearby in the tender whilst our guests are snorkelling, just in case anyone wants to vacate the water before the others!
This also gives confidence to those who are more nervous or not confident about snorkelling.
We supply fins and great quality masks (that never leak!!) so all you have to do is lie there, wiggle your fins and be amazed at the incredible underwater sights... and if guests are still nervous, Lynne is only too happy to hold their hands to give them confidence until they become fully accomplished snorkelers!
