One of the very few places in Australia you can see Kangaroos and Wallabies on the beach at sunrise. Jump out of bed very early to join our iconic Airlie Beach tour to Cape Hillsborough, near Mackay to see Kangaroos and Wallabies on the beach at sunrise.

Once we have collected all the guests from their Airlie Beach accommodation we then travel approximately 1.5 hours down to Mackay and Cape Hillsborough, to see the iconic attraction of Eastern Grey Kangaroos and Agile Wallabies come out onto the beach to feed on mangrove seeds at sunrise

This amazing scene is unique enough to lay claim to the title of one of Queensland tourism’s best hidden gems

The eastern grey kangaroos, is a mob that has lived in the area for more than 20 years, which have now become social media stars with their daily appearance on the remote beach in search of seaweed and mangrove seed pods.

Guests can freely to take as many photos as you like of this very unique experience but you are not allowed to go too close to these wild animals as you may be fined.

We suggest a telephoto lens to enable you to get the absolute prize winning photograph of the marsupials

We will then have bacon and egg rolls along with tea/coffee down on the beach.
