Coach from Cairns Accommodation to Rainforestation Nature Park
Hand feed the free roaming kangaroos and wallabies in the landscaped gardens at Rainforestation Nature Park, observe the giant endangered pre-historic cassowary bird, see wombats and lace monitors, and view local snakes and other scaley reptiles, along with cute cuddly koalas.
Local indigenous Pamagirri Aboriginal guides welcome you to join them on a journey to discover the Dreamtime Walk and learn about the fascinating customs and ancient traditions of Australias Aborigines.
The Pamagirri Aboriginal guides will then host an Aboriginal dance performance in the auditorium.
Experience the tropical Kuranda rainforest from a totally unique perspective aboard an amphibious World War II Army Duck and visit a tropical fruit orchard with over 60 different species of exotic tropical fruit trees.
Kuranda Village Tour
Spend some time in Kuranda Village and visit the beautiful Butterfly Sanctuary before re-boarding the 100% electric coach for your return journey to your Cairns accommodation.
At 8.40am you will travel to Rainforestation Nature Park by 100% electric coach via the scenic Kuranda Range
Your Kuranda tour includes:
A guided tour through the Koala & Wildlife Park: See crocodiles, snakes, dingoes and a cassowary, and hand feed kangaroos and wallabies.
Have your photo taken cuddling a koala or holding a small crocodile (optional extra).
The Pamagirri Dreamtime Walk: Learn to throw a boomerang and watch spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing.
Pamagirri Dance Performance: In the rainforest amphitheatre.
The Army Duck Rainforest Tour: A visit to the Tropical Fruit Orchard is also included. Experience the tropical rainforest from a totally unique perspective aboard an amphibious World War II Army Duck.
Optional afternoon in Kuranda Village: Depart the Kuranda Rainforestation Nature Park for your transfer into Kuranda Village.
On arrival to Kuranda Village, wander through the shops and markets that offer local handicrafts, souvenirs and gifts.
A must see is the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and ensure you wear a red, white or pink shirt to attract these beautiful creatures for that perfect photo opportunity.
Your Coach will transfer you back to your Cairns accommodation.
