Mackay Coral Cay
On our snorkel tour we sail to a pristine outer reef location called Mackay Coral Cay and reef which is a small sand island approximately fifty kilometers from Port Douglas, Mackay Cay is located on the north west corner of the Mackay Reef..
The snow white sand and the crystal clear waters of Mackay Cay act as the ultimate snorkeling backdrop.
Mackay Cay is one of many coral cays that are small islands that rise mere metres above high tide.
Protecting a variety of endangered plant and animal species, the coral cays are internationally recognised.
All our guests love visiting one of the most significant sections of the Great Barrier Reef to enjoy its picture perfect beach and coral reef system.

Notes
Mackay and Undine Coral Cays are 28/25 nm from Port Douglas. We have exclusive access to these sites from Port Douglas. Journey time will be approximately 2 hours.
During this time, we conduct our safety and snorkel briefings and distribute equipment. Reef Interpretation talk. Crew and guest interaction on day’s sightings.
Walking on the Coral Cays is dependant on the daily tides.
The itinerary may vary to allow us to take guests to the cays at some point throughout the day.
Some day’s we simply can’t walk on the cays as the tide is too low to get the beach landing craft across the coral which gets exposed and is out of the water.
Snorkelling and all other coral viewing activities continue.

- Refund of deposit is payable if cancellation is received more than one month prior to travel date. 100% charge if cancelled within one month of travel date.
