Mackay Reef & Escape Reef
You will be welcomed on board the luxury superyacht by the friendly crew before motoring from Port Douglas (or a different port if guests choose, charged additionally) to the first destination Mackay Reef.
On the way enjoy a light breakfast prepared by the on-board chef and then relax and enjoy the beautiful views over the Coral Sea, keeping an eye out for whales (May - September) and dolphins.
Once at Mackay Reef you can disembark the yacht to explore the white sand cay that stands out like a beacon against the deep blue ocean.
Jump on a kayak or use a snorkel to explore the surrounding reefs before getting back on the motor yacht for the cruise to Escape Reef, enjoying a light lunch on the way.
Once at Escape Reef you can spend the afternoon fishing, snorkelling, kayaking or scuba diving, or maybe just taking a nap in the sun on one of the cushioned lounging decks.
Sip champagne and nibble on delicious canapes as the sun sets over the ocean before dinner in the main saloon.
After dinner enjoy the luxury of the Versace interior with a book or star-gaze from the front deck.
Day two is all about exploring Escape Reef.
A favourite destination for fishermen, you can throw a line in and try for some of the Great Barrier Reefs famous table fish Coral Trout, Yellowfin Tuna, Giant Trevally plus a wide variety of other reef fish.
If fishing is not your style, put on some snorkel gear and view the coral and fish species up close.
All activities and meals can be enjoyed at your own leisure – there is no set schedule so you can choose to spend the day however you wish.
After a full day on Escape Reef, relax with a drink before dinner as the sun dips below the horizon.
After a morning dip in the beautiful aqua-blue water of Escape Reef, jump back on deck for breakfast as the luxury super yacht makes it way to the next amazing destination, North Opal Reef.
Opal Reef is a large crescent shaped reef near the continental shelf edge with mostly shallow, crystal-clear waters, making it an awesome reef for snorkeling.
Jump in along the north reef wall for magnificent snorkelling with an abundance of soft and hard corals, reef fish and possibly some lagoon rays with their colourful spots.
Spend the day exploring this amazing natural aquarium from above or below the water’s surface, with unlimited use of the Zodiac tender, kayaks and the fun Powerdive underwater dive unit at your disposal.
In the evening dine on the day’s catch and other culinary delights prepared by the chef for dinner.
On your final morning on Australia's Great Barrier Reef, enjoy an early snorkel and say hello to the local Maori Wrasse that populate the reef.
These big beautiful green and blue fish are iconic members of the reef family and you will recognise them by their big thick lips and amazing striking colours.
Enjoy breakfast on the sail to the south end of Opal Reef for more snorkelling before departing to the final destination of the trip, Tongue Reef.
Here you’ll enjoy lunch before having one last snorkel where you should see green sea turtles, giant clams, reef fish and a huge variety of different coloured hard and soft corals.
Relax in the afternoon and soak in the sun and the sights of the Coral Sea one last time as the boat cruises back to Port Douglas, marking the end of the itinerary.
Motoring from Townsville or other departure points if requested, she will transport you to any number of tropical paradises – the World-Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, the Whitsundays, the crystal clear waters of Dynamite Pass, Cod Hole and Ribbon Reef.
Or, a little further south, you could visit Magnetic Island, Palm and Orpheus Islands. Cruise the Whitsundays and snorkel off Hayman Island, swim with the turtles at Hook Island or let the crew of our private yacht design a unique Great Barrier Reef experience just for you.
