Some of the scuba diving knowledge you’ll gain is the use and familiarization of your equipment in the water.
It won’t take long until your apparatus and breathing feels natural to you.

Your expert dive instructor will not only be with you every kick of the way.
By choosing this particular 3 hour introductory dive course, you’ll not only gain scuba skills and discover a whole new extraordinary undersea world, but you’ll be doing it in paradise too!
You could opt to stay in Townsville, an ambient country down disguised as a city, and travel the scenic ferry over to Magnetic Island for your dive.
Or, you could live the island life with accommodation on stunning Magnetic Island. Both offer budget-friendly and opulent choices, with a laid-back tropical atmosphere.
One of the remarkable options of this island is the Koala Village at Bungalow Bay; the only resort in Australia with a wildlife park attached! Magnetic Island, or ‘Maggie’ to the locals is an array of beach coves set in a semi-circle around rainforest.
And whether you’re staying at Nelly, Horseshoe, Picnic or Alma bays, you’ll find it a short trip either on foot, or by regular bus route to your diving destination.
The ocean is full of weird, wonderful and absolutely jaw-dropping species. Some divers head to the Great Barrier Reef for the extraordinary rainbow of reef fish, in the form of turquoise Parrots, vivid orange Clowns (Nemo), and buttery-yellow Angels.
Others venture to the Whitsundays especially to witness the migration of whales and dolphins. With rays, turtles, eels, dugong, porpoise and an almost unending display of species within magical coral kingdoms, scuba is a source.
Diving is a movement, an addiction, a way of life for some. And if your introductory dive sparks a new aquatic passion in you, you’re in the right place to become an expert.
There are both Open Water and Advanced diving courses waiting for you on Magnetic Island, and all gain you a license to dive with a buddy unsupervised through these oceanic realms across the seven seas!
