You’ll then be spirted along a scenic highway through the lush jungle to Cape Tribulation, where you’ll enjoy a café lunch on the shores of its sublime beach.

With delicious fuel in your belly, you’ll be ready for a mesmerising meander through the towering Daintree Rainforest on the Marrdja Botanical Boardwalk. 

You’ll hear riveting flora and fauna facts about the oldest jungle on the planet, right where you happen to be standing!

They’ll also be a phenomenal photo op at Alexandra lookout, with a panorama that extends across the magnificent wet tropics, and a stop at Floravilla; ice cream from heaven with 26 homemade favours!

Your adventure will end with a highlight; see the world’s last living dinosaur on a crocodile spotting cruise!

Crystal Waters and Indigenous Culture at Mossman Gorge

Explore a wondrous combination of historical awe and breathtaking beauty, as you enter the Mossman Gorge.

On the cusp of the ancient Daintree, this marvel of rainforest will prove a tour highlight. You’ll be welcomed by the custodians of the land; the Aboriginal Kuku Yalanji people, who will treat you to a display of culture and custom.

Your day includes a Welcome to Country Ceremony to cleanse you of spirits, and traditional body painting too!

The gorge has been sculpted by the rains and rapids of the Mossman River, and will unfold before you in a crystal cascade of inviting brooks and waterholes.

Be sure to have your swimming costume on, as you won’t want to miss the chance to swim in this clear, fresh waters of the gorge.

Beautiful Cape Tribulation

This wonderland is part of the 150 million year old Daintree; oldest rainforest known to man!

The rich valleys, rainforest and rolling hills in blanketed in thick rainforest meet a semi-circle of mountains along the gold and aqua of flawless beaches to form the wonder of Cape Tribulation.

You can explore this unique eco-system - walking along its pristine coastline, or trekking deeper into the rainforest surrounds. You’ll have time in the Cape Tribulation village, with laid back ambience and colourful local boutiques and eateries.

You could choose to be tempted by a deli style lunch at the Beach Café, or perhaps grab some snacks and laze on the beach, gazing out at the turquoise Great Barrier Reef on the horizon.

Whilst in  Cape Tribulation, you won’t just have the option to relax in paradise, but the choice to enjoy lunch any way you’d like it. 

For those on a budget, or prefer to munch away while sitting among nature, you can feel free to grab some takeaway snacks, or bring your own sandwiches and seat yourself on the tropical sands to enjoy the tropical views.

Another selection on offer is indulging in a delicious lunch at the Cape Trib Beach House. At this charming little eatery perched on the beach, you’ll be presented with such a wide range of delights; you might find it hard to choose!

Enjoy a choice of seafood or perhaps mouthwatering salads, wraps and burgers which are all available on the menu.

Marrdja Botanical Walk and Alexandra Lookout

In case you were wondering, Marrdja is indigenous for ‘Rainforest Walk’. This botanical walk is one of the most impressive on the planet; it is set in a 150 million year old rainforest, after all!

Under a canopy of trees, and past clear freshwawater creeks, you’ll adventure on an interpretational walk and guided presentation through the Daintree.

Discover how some of the plants here actually date back over 350 million years! You’ll likewise gain knowledge of its past inhabitants, from the introduction of humans, to the appearance, and extinction of dinosaurs. 

At the peak of the  Alexandra lookout, you’ll be awed by the panorama that fans from Port Douglas to the Great Barrier Reef!

Optional Daintree River Wildlife and Crocodile Spotting Cruise

After a day discovering the wonder of Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge, its time to venture on the Daintree’s extraordinary river!

Step on board your cruise and explore the river with your guide. With 40% of the country’s butterfly species, and 30% of Australia’s reptile, you may very well see an iconic Ulysses butterfly, or rare water dragon; both of which are unique to this part of the world. 

The main attraction of the Daintree River however is the world’s last living dinosaur; the Saltwater crocodile. Known to grow over 5m in length, you will see these prehistoric wonders sunning themselves along the riverbanks on this incredible cruise.
