Throughout your one day private boat charter the crew will prepare and serve meals which will possibly include a delicious freshly prepared buffet luncheon (boat is not licenced please BYO alcohol).

If you are a keen fisherman/woman, you can also request to add a 7.3-metre sports fishing vessel that can take you to some secret spots to catch some fresh sashimi for lunch (please note only eat sashimi after it has been sufficiently chilled). Price on application.

Easter: A 20% surcharge will be added to all reservation made for travel between Good Friday and Easter Monday inclusive.

Christmas: A 20% surcharge will be added to all reservations made for travel between December 20th and January 10th inclusive.

Our Cruising Destinations

As we are a fly bridge motor cruiser we can access the inner and outer ribbon reefs, continental islands, sand cays and serene lagoons, as well as deep diving sites and proven fishing hotspots on our one day boat charters.

From Port Douglas in less than half an hour you will be snorkelling with sea turtles or visiting the historic lighthouse at Low Isles, or cruising a few minutes further north we will arrive at Snapper Island, so called because of its silhoutte looks just like a crocodile head. 

During the northern tropical winter months of May to September we have the opportunity for some whale watching as they migrate to the safe waters of the Great Barrier Reef to calve.

For the avid fisherman we can set up some lines to hook the catch of the day!

Example 1 Day Private Charter Itinerary

8:00am

Arrival and Boarding at The Crystalbrook Marina, Port Douglas. Make yourself at home on your boat for the day!

8.15am

Departure

Enjoy a light morning tea while we head off into the blue horizon, steaming comfortably to your first destination.

9:00 - 11:00 am

Arrival to your first reef site for snorkelling, exploration or fishing.  The crew will have you in the water in no time, being captivated by the exhilarating and magical underwater world.  Low Isles is an idyllic tropical coral cay with coral gardens, diverse marine life and plenty of friendly turtles.   Should you prefer to be catching your fish, we will take you to one of our favourite fishing spots, perhaps a bommie off Snapper Island or off a wreck further north, to kick off the day.

12:30 - 2:00 pm

Al fresco lunch is served, with  fresh gourmet salads and chilled seafood platters served with non alcoholic beverages (alcoholic beverages may be supplied on a BYO basis).

Your skipper may motor to your next destination while you enjoy lunch and the panoramic view on the flybridge.   

2.00 pm  

It's time to get back in the water!

While away the afternoon snorkelling, drift diving, island exploring or hook another big one at your second destination for the day.  Enjoy the reef wholeheartedly before settling back into the comfort of the boat for a cruise home while the sun starts descending behind the mountain ranges.

4.15 pm

Approximate arrival back at The Crystalbrook Marina, Port Douglas, armed with sunkisses, fish for the barbeque, happy snaps and  unforgettable memories....

We will arrange for a dive instructor to be onboard for your group and show you the spectacular reefs north of Port Douglas.

Scuba Diving Restrictions

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.
