Charter Boat Departure Time From Port Douglas

The best part about a private charter fishing tour or a dive and snorkel tour is that itineraries can be arranged to suit your time. 

For a full day boat charter, we recommend hitting the water in Port Douglas no later than 8:30 am to make the most of the conditions and day out fishing, diving and snorkeling on the Great Barrier Reef. 

If you are looking at an extended liveaboard overnight fishing charter, a late afternoon departure can be arranged to ensure we are travelling overnight, allowing you to awake at the best reef location and begin fishing without missing a beat.

Extended Overnight Fishing Charters

Lizard Island

With an extended charter fishing tour we can take you to the more exclusive destinations such as Lizard Island from mid  September to mid October begining at Cooktown for our Jewell Reef package.

Other Lizard Island private charter fishing tour departures are dependant on our schedule and can potentially be arranged from Port Douglas, Cooktown or Lizard Island.

Princess Charlotte Bay

For the diehard fishermen, 4 - 7 days at Princess Charlotte Bay, 160km north-west of Cooktown during the months of March and April will provide an experience like none other for those looking for estuary, reef and light game fishing.   

Please note: Access to Princess Charlotte Bay is via helicopter private charter only 

Marlin Fishing

Statistically 85% of the world's 1000lb plus fish are caught on our local grounds 30klm off the coast on the Great Barrier Reef the world famous home to the Black and Blue Marlin.

Prime time fishing for the big Marlins are during the months of September to December when the females arrive from the Pacific Ocean.

Our Luxury Game Boat

We can sleep up to 6 guests on board.

Our interior cabin is fully air-conditioned and we have two cabins sharing a large modern bathroom complete with shower and electric toilet. 

The master suite is complete with double bed and private ensuite. 

When not fishing or snorkelling, relax in comfort and enjoy the state of the art entertainment system complete with plasma screen, DVD and surround sound. 

The on board chef is at hand to prepare all meals freshly including breakfast, morning and afternoon tea and dinner.

Scuba Diving Restrictions

• Certain medical conditions and medications may preclude some people from scuba diving.
• Participation is subject to a medical questionnaire completed on board with the tour operator
• Minimum age for scuba diving is 12 years.
• Flying after scuba diving: a wait of 12 hours is recommended after one dive, 18 hour after 2 dives and at least 24 hours after multiple dives, before ascending to an altitude of 300 metres or greater.
