Take a sailing holiday in the Whitsundays on one of the most comfortable maxi yachts in the region with a rich racing history! See what it feels like to reach maximum speeds heeled over hard. Experience a fun social tour at sea with great company and fun crew members.
Your exciting liveaboard 2 day 1 night Whitsundays sailing holiday agenda includes a visit to the infamous Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet Lookout, a sensational snorkel tour over some of the best coral reefs in the world and of course, an evening full of fun after your action-packed day!
We depart from Airlie Beach and begin our 2 day,1 starry night sail and snorkel adventure in the Whitsunday Islands on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef in Australia on our 77 foot high speed maxi yacht.
When our 24 guests are not exploring the local islands and snorkeling the bays, they take advantage of the spacious upper deck area which is perfect enjoying the speedy sailing and passing scenery or just sunbaking and relaxing!
Our maxi yacht is one of the most comfortable maxi yachts in the Whitsunday Islands and a big favourite with the Brits as HRH Prince Charles once crewed on this yacht when she set a record in the Queen Victoria Cup.
She is also popular with the folks who are somewhat taller than others!
This liveaboard boat has 2 dining tables providing plenty of space for guests to enjoy meals together and create a great social atmosphere.
The saloon area also doubles as a comfortable sitting area. On deck, there is ample space for you to relax as well as a boom awning for shade when anchored.
She carries just 24 guests with a combination of Single and Double Bunks for couples.
When you can only squeeze in 2 days and 1 night to see as much of the Whitsunday Islands as possible, then the yacht speed really does matter!
This fast sailing boat will ensure that no time is wasted as they sail you at true racing speeds from one incredible snorkeling destination to the next around the beautiful Whitsundays.
A typical day starts at around 8.00am with breakfast, then a swim or bushwalk, followed by 1 to 2 hours of sailing to a snorkelling or beach destination.
Then it's time to explore the island coral reefs, swim or relax at the beach.
Around 1.00pm its time for lunch and then at 2.30pm its time for another sail around the Whitsunday Islands arriving safely in an overnight anchorage by 4.30-5.30pm.
Just in time for one of the other yachts to meet up, where guests from both yachts can mingle, enjoy a drink or two, exchange sailing stories and watch the sunset over the islands.
By 7.30pm dinner is served and afterwards it's your decision whether you want to party on with a few drinks under the stars or call it a day.
Guests are welcome to join in and assist the crew with the sailing.
The racing yachts have a myriad of winches and sailing gear that could baffle all but the most experienced crew, however, guests are welcome to learn, including hoisting and trimming sails, or taking the helm.
For those who are interested in learning to sail the crew will spend time covering the sailing basics and give you a few tips along the way.
As we are a maxi yacht with an impeccible sailing record we are able to show you more of the major icons of the Whitsundays such as taking you for a swim at Whitehaven Beach and going on a hike up to Hill Inlet to see the picture perfect swirling sands down below.
We will also make our way to the Northern end of the Whitsundays and do some snorkeling at Hook Island and Hayman Island.
If you like you can also become part of the crew and assist in hoisting the sails and racing the boat around the Great Barrier Reef.
