Introductory scuba diving experiences introduce visitors to recreational diving to discover if they enjoy the sport and prefer to achieve a diving licence in the future.
Aqua 5 has some of the highest standards possible to its clients wishing to try an introductory dive.
Our experienced Dive instructors will provide you a one-on-one session.
This standard is the highest in the diving industry, so you know you will be in safe hands.
The total activity time is one hour, this includes half an hour instruction on the boat and in the water and then a half an hour dive.
Please note you do need to know how to swim, all of our instructors are trained in helping but we don’t provide swimming lessons.
The dive site we go to is great for beginners as its off a beach.
Intro divers will start diving at waist depth before gradually get deeper to around 4 to 5 metres.
The Great Barrier Reef is a listed World Heritage Site, stretching for over 2000 km adjacent to the east coast of Queensland, Australia.
As the earth’s largest reef structure, you have the chance of meeting manta rays, turtles, sharks, sea-snakes, clownfish, cuttlefish and an abundance of tropical reef fish.
The Whitsunday Islands are incorporated in the Great Barrier Reef Park and have the benefit of more soft corals and caves around the islands, establishing this an aquatic playground for all scuba diving levels.
We accept certified divers from all the major international diving accreditation companies (PADI, SSI ETC), from open water and upwards you are required to bring your diving documentation with you on the tour. (if you show up for the tour without verification of certification, you will have to take an introduction dive)
We check all certified divers on their capabilities before they dive.
The dive instructor has the final say on who can dive and how you buddy up, based on assessment, certification, medical conditions, etc.
