Pancake Creek is a hidden gem mostly only accessible by boat from Seventeen Seventy and Agnes Water. Its in the Eurimbula National Park which is approximately 40 minutes journey on our private charter boat which departs from the 1770 Marina just outside Agnes Water.
On this private charter snorkel tour we have a total of 6 hours for our small group of 8 guests to enjoy our 40 minute boat ride to Pancake Creek and explore the surrounding beaches and bays and learn about the history, wildlife and to just take in the beautiful scenery that surrounds this uncrowded region of the magnificent Southern Great Barrier Reef.
Departure from the Town of Seventeen Seventy marina is changeable and dependant with the tides and we aim to begin our private charter snorkel tours from 10am to 2.00pm. This way we get to see more clarity underwater to see the beautiful corals and the abundant marine life.
Our private charter boat tour is a great day tour for groups of friends and famlies looking for something really unique to experience in the great outdoors of Queensland and Australia's Great Barrier Reef.
We begin our private charter snorkel tour by boarding the 10m cougar cat at the marina in the Town of 1770 with our 8 guests on board at around 10am (tide dependant) for a 40 minute boat ride.
We head northwards via Roundhill Creek towards Bustard Head and keep our eyes peeled along the way for the playful dolphins in this region.
If you love Pelicans you will be seeing plenty of them up at Pancake Creek as the fishing for them is fabulous here!
Pancake Creek is a hidden gem that reveals its treasures in clear water on either an incoming our outgoing tide.
Pancake Creek has a magnificent reef of mostly soft corals on a 250mt long ridge that is about 1klm up the creek and is home to a huge variety of marine life that is totally unexpected.
If you love seeing fish on the Great Barrier Reef then you will certainly enjoy snorkelling these fertile waters and seeing them dart in and out the corals.
Once you have finished snorkelling there are plenty of enticing bays for a relaxing swim and a meat and or salad wrap for lunch.
Pancake Creek is home to sea turtles and during the months of November to February you may be lucky enough to see them out and about and the little hatchlings emerging from under the sand and heading to the open waters of the ocean around January time.
During the day we will also take our private charter boat guests up to the Bustard Head Lighthouse (optional) where you will learn all about the light house being built in England, each part numbered, put together and then being disasemmbled and shipped to Australia for re-assembly.
Guided tours are extra cost with volunteer guides at the lighthouse if you wish to go inside.
We could take a walk around the graves of the folks who were pioneers of the area and also learn about the local Aboriginal tribes and the wildlife that inhabit these beautiful parts of the Southern Great Barrier Reef of Australia.
We will provide all of our guests with wetsuits, snorkel gear and flotation gear if needed.
During the day we will have a fruit platter, cake and meat or vegetarian wraps for lunch. We will also have some snacks such as chips and bars along with tea and coffee.
Bring along your own water bottles and we will re-fill them with fresh water.

It is a condition of booking with us that you hereby release to the full extent permitted by law. The tour operators its employees, agents and sub-contractors from all actual or contingent liability in respect of such personal injury, death, loss or damage.
All passengers shall comply with any direction given to them for their safety and comfort, and agree that willful non-compliance with such directions may result in an immediate return to the nearest port or embarkation point without refund.
It's a condition of booking and undertaking a charter than any passenger indemnifies the tour operator for all damages caused by any such non-compliant passenger.
All passengers of our private charter tours shall be liable for any cost associated with repairs, replacement, or both of the vessel, equipment, or both which occur as a result of wilful damage.
