From our home base in Townsville, groups of guests may charter our ex-racing yacht to sail into the setting sun towards Magnetic Island and watch the changes in the skyline as the sun begins to set in the west over the Great Barrier Reef.

When visiting Townsville you simply have to take some sort of trip on a boat across the waters of the Great Barrier Reef and our 2 hour sunset sailing tour from Townsville just may be the perfect option for your special celebration.

Sunset Sail 

• 2 Hours on the water - 4:30 to 6:30pm.
• Bring Your Own beverages and nibbles in a small cooler bag or esky. 

Your group can sit back, relax and enjoy the scenery whilst sipping a cool drink and and nibbles (BYO) as the private charter yacht crew cruise across the Great Barrier Reef. We depart the Townsville marina at 4.00pm and guests are invited to assist in setting the sails and to learn a little of setting the sheets if they so desire with the skipper of the yacht giving instruction. We head out towards beautiful Magnetic Island and spend the next 2 hours sailing around watching as the sky turns a myriad of colours and the ocean in unison reflecting those colours from above.

Enjoy a complimentary sparkling wine or non-alcoholic beverage and delicious antipasto platters. Our yacht carries a maximum of only 10 guests amx although we are surveyed to carry 22 we prefer to keep our private charter Great Barrier Reef sailing tours small and personalised for a more enjoyable experience for everyone.

Please note we use two yachts for our sunset charter tours with each boat being chosen on the day.
