Townsville Fishing Tours Day Trip Shoals and Wrecks - 10 Hours

Departure Time from Townsville is around 6.00am. 

As we are out on the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef fishing at the 20 nautical mile mark this takes about 45 minutes motoring time each way.

At these location on the reef we are targeting a large range of magnificent and higly prized table fish including Red Emperor, Large Mouth Nannygai, Cod, Spanish Mackerel and Trevally.

Inclusions:

Rods and Reels

Tackle- All terminal tackle supplied for bottom fishing. This includes sinkers, hooks, line, leader and trolling lures.
Bait- Quality squid and pilchards along with fresh cut baits at sea.

Townsville Reef Fishing - 12-hour Wide Reef Experience Trip

Departure Time is around 5.00am and we generally fish at around 20 the nautical mile mark.

Our travel time to these fishing grounds on the Great Barrier Reef takes about 3 hours travel each way.

We target a large range of fish on these trips including Red Emperor, Large Mouth Nannygai, Cod, Spanish Mackerel and Trevally.

Townsville Reef Fishing - 24-hour Wide Reef Experience Trip

After our 4pm (approx) departure from Townsville it’s time to begin! You will start fishing at around 40 nautical miles.

This takes about three and a half hours of travel and work your way out wider through the night.

It’s common that your night fishing will be based on Red Emperor and Large Mouth Nannygai.

Of course their is a lot of by catch along with this. Spangled emperor, Cobia, Cod, Green Job Fish, Mangrove Jack and more!

Through the day time the focus is on Coral Trout but it is normal to catch Red Throat and other species with these.

It’s possible to run out some balloons for Mackerel as well!

On the trip out and back to the reef clients are also welcome to put out a selection of high speed lures as quite often these will produce a Mackerel or Wahoo.

This trip is catered for with the highest quality meals – you need to keep those energy reserves satisfied so you can reel in your catch!

All fish are gutted, gilled and bagged up for you upon your return.
