Itinerary

Ultimate Kuranda Experience

After being collected from your accommodation you will depart of the Kuranda Scenic Railway at 8:50am: Wind through tunnels and over bridges on this magnificent journey, passing Stoney Creek and Barron Falls.

Your Driver Guide will meet you at Kuranda Railway Station for your arrival at 10.25am and direct you to your coach which will transfer you to the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary for your 11am tour.

Marvel at the largest butterfly flight aviary in the country, with a guided tour through the landscaped gardens. View hundreds of butterflies including the famous electric Blue Ulysses and Australia’s largest butterfly, the Cairns Birdwing. 

You will have 15 minutes to wander through the picturesque Kuranda Village in the Rainforest, Markets operate daily. 

At 11.45am you will be met outside the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary for your transfer to the Rainforestation Nature Park to experience the following:

Army Duck Rainforest Tour with Tropical Fruit Orchard: Travel deep into the rainforest on both land and water as your guide explains different species of flora and fauna.

Pamagirri Aboriginal Experience: Watch the Pamagirri Dancers and join the Dreamtime Walk - learn to throw a boomerang and watch spear-throwing and didgeridoo playing.

BBQ Lunch: Enjoy a delicious hot buffet and a wide selection of salads, cheeses and fruits.

Koala & Wildlife: Join a guided tour, and see crocodiles, wombats, snakes, dingoes and a cassowary, and hand feed kangaroos and wallabies.

At 3.45pm you will transfer to the Kuranda Skyrail Rainforest Cableway Terminal for your 4pm boarding. The 7.5km Skyrail journey will see you gliding just metres above the rainforest canopy in comfortable six-person gondola cabins, the Skyrail journey immerses you in an intimate rainforest experience where you’ll see, hear, smell and become part of the tropical rainforest environment.

Your coach will be at the Carvonica Skyrail Terminal to transfer you to your accommodation.
