After pick-up from your holiday accommodation, you’ll be welcomed onto an air-conditioned bus and shuttled to the stunning realms of Barron Gorge National Park.
This World Heritage-listed beauty is part of the famed Wet Tropics, and your surroundings today are a backdrop of the oldest jungle known to man.
With a degree in 'fun' and a certification with the International White Water Rafting Federation, your expert river guides will have already started your journey with a welcoming friendliness.
The next adventure begins upon the beautiful banks of Lake Placid. Moving on from there, your raft instructors will suit you up with helmet and buoyancy vest, and share some safety tips, along with manoeuvers to enhance your rafting experience.
Once you have done some rock hopping you reach the beginning of the Barron River and it's time to ride the crystal tides in your white water rafts.

These white water rapids are grade 1 - 3 and you negotiate your way down the river based on the force of the water.

Lake Placid which you’ll find along your travels is a stunning lagoon rich with rare vegetation and wildlife.
And at your ‘Drop In’ point (where you enter the water) there lies in a majestic bowl of ancient boulders that stand sentry along the steep cliffs of this spellbinding gorge.
The park extends from coastal lowlands to the elevated regions of the Atherton Tableland, and the gleaming river winds through the Macalister and Lamb ranges to meet with the Coral Sea.

One of the best parts about paddling through this natural theme-ride is that the water levels promise an electrifying experience all year round!
This tour takes advantage of a grade 3 river joyride that the planet provided!

From a glorious granite canyon ‘Drop In’ point, you’ll join a smooth current that takes you on a remarkable journey. In the glistening cascades of a few ‘Face Wash’ grade 3 rapids, you’ll experience thrills and spills as you manoeuver the flowing ledges and chutes that lead to a flush out basin.
