We suggest that our guests ask their travel agents to book some pre-post accommodation on the island to ensure their arrival on the superyacht is not interrupted with airline delays.
Wine & Dine
Our on-board chef will be creating culinary delights matched with wines to tantalise even the most well-developed palate for the entire cruise. The crew of MY T8 love setting beautiful table settings where you can enjoy meals and enjoy spending time with family and friends reflecting on the days activities.
Snorkel
For snorkelers we will be visiting sections of the outer Great Barrier Reef where you will see both spectacular marine life and amazing corals. Friendly turtles, Giant Potato Cod and Maori Wrasse will be your companions as you navigate these gin clear waters and coral reefs.
Whitehaven Beach
Every visitor to the Whitsundays requests to visit the jewel in the Whitsunday Island crown Whitehaven Beach, so we always include a day in our superyacht itineraries for guests to explore the famous silicon sand beaches. Guests may choose to hike to Hill Inlet Lookout, comb the seven kilometre beach or take a hike to Chance Bay. The Whitehaven Beach sand contains 98% silica meaning it is extremely fine and soft, with some comparing the consistency to that of a baby powder like feel. Because of the silica, the sand does not retain heat and makes it a fantastic place to walk on bare feet, even on a hot day.
Hook Island
A place not to be missed when visiting the Whitsunday Islands. Hook Island offers spectacular natural surroundings and excellent snorkelling sites. The second largest island in the Cumberland group, it is 58 square kilometres in size and includes sheltered, picturesque bays, deep fjord-like inlets, ideal for SUP boarding and kayaking. The marine life here will have you in awe of their friendliness and individual personalities. Enjoy the wildlife in the air such as eagles, kites and ospreys and underwater interactions with sea turtles, multi-coloured fish, dolphins, manta rays and even humpback whales during the months of June to September.
Nara Inlet
A wonderful tropical island that hides paintings dating back hundreds of years. This is a Ngaro Aboriginal cultural site and a place all guests must visit to learn all about these sea going people and their ancient culture. There is even an interactive display where you can learn about the history of the Ngaro Aboriginal people. A visit to Nara Inlet is not complete without venturing further down to the bottom of the inlet, where you will find a magical fresh-water rock pool and refreshing waterfall. Please not this natural pool only flows during the green season.
Outer Great Barrier Reef Lagoon
Our superyacht Captain always tries to take his guests to regions and locations around the Whitsunday Islands that other superyacht Captains and boats have not yet discovered and show them some of his favourite snorkel spots in a lagoon that lies 50NM from the Australian mainland. This secret outer Great Barrier Reef lagoon is only accessible under certain weather conditions.
Hayman Island
Hayman Island has enough options to keep the keenest snorkelers in the water all day long. Good coral and friendly fish make for a lovely session in the water and you may even get to meet the resident Humphead Maori Wrasse named Elvis.
Relax With Unspoilt Scenery
The Whitsundays scenery never fails to draw the breath as the kaleidoscope of colours and beauty intertwined mesmerise visitors. Some of the most-lush green islands are seen at every angle as they push upwards from the depth of the ocean producing enchanting scenery as you cruise by gently on your superyacht voyage.
Nature Hikes
Explore the many secluded bays and anchorages of the Whitsunday Islands. There are plenty of great swimming spots, fishing holes and for the active we offer some hike on various islands and beaches.
Board the luxury T8 superyacht on Hamilton Island from 11am.
If boarding straight from the Airport, a transfer can be arranged.
Once all guests are all settled onboard, we begin our 6 night YOTSPACE superyacht voyage to our first nights anchorage, Stonehaven Bay, where you may wish to enjoy your very first snorkel, and explore some of the local sights or take a tender ride and navigate the scenic coastline in the 700HP 10 meter RIB. Refreshing cocktails and drinks will be provided during our cruise, followed by some relaxation time on the Flybridge sunpads to witness a beautiful Stonehaven Bay sunset and enjoy some drinks and canapes or relax from a nice cozy position in the Jacuzzi hot tub.
After a wonderful nights sleep on the reef we wake to a sumptuous breakfast, and then when ready we will depart for the short cruise to the top of Hook Island, where guests will be treated to some incredible sightseeing, secluded coral beaches, snorkeling and hand feed Giant Humphead Maouri Wrasse, Giant Trevally, Coral Trout, Batfish and Fusiliers, to name just a few of the abundant marine life here. Scenic places we will visit today are Butterfly Bay, Maureen’s Cove, Luncheon Bay, Manta Ray Bay and Pinnacle Bay.
We will conclude the day with a cruise to Hook Passage where we will anchor for our second night under the stars on the Great Barrier Reef.
Today is the day we will be visiting the silicon sands of Whitehaven Beach. We will plan for an earlier breakfast and depart early morning, and head for Whitehaven Beach. Guests have the option of the short hike to the Hill Inlet lookout, and also a swim on the beach adjacent to Hill Inlet. Other than a swim on the stunning Whitehaven Beach sand, places to visit are in Whitehaven Bay are Haselwood Island and Teage Island.
Should you desire to see Whitehaven Beach and the Whitsunday Island from the air our superyacht Captain can arrange for helicopter flights from South Whitehaven Beach if requested.
In the afternoon, we will visit Border Island for some snorkeling on the protected reef, which is home to some of the healthiest soft and hard corals in the Whitsundays. The marine life is also abundant due to no fishing allowed. Or you may just wish to sit back and relax with a good book and enjoy basking in the sun as the boat is at anchor.
Early morning on day 4 we will head to the outer Great Barrier Reef and spend the night in one of our superyacht Captain’s favourite overnight lagoons. The T8 crew like to travel further than most, to avoid the crowds. Our superyacht Captain has requested that we do not mention the name of this reef here as currently other yachts do not visit this secret lagoon.
Once anchored, you will be taken to some of the Captains favourite snorkelling and dive spots.
There is nothing like drinking cocktails while watching an amazing sunset at anchor in a protected lagoon 50 NM from the mainland, without another superyacht or boat in sight. Please note as this is an outer reef and lagoon it may be that the weather prevents us reaching this destination due to weather conditions. If you do make it to this reef please keep it a secret surprise for our next YOTSPACE superyacht voyage guests.
On day 5 we will explore the outer reefs and lagoon for most of the day as we do not want to leave this stunning place in a hurry. We will visit remote areas that rarely get seen by other superyacht guests. In the afternoon we will head back to the Whitsunday Islands and anchor around the Hayman Island region to enjoy some star gazing and cocktails before a 5 star gourmet dinner.
After you wake at your leisure and enjoy a hot or cold breakfast you may wish to jump back in the water to say good morning to the marine life around Hayman Island. Our superyacht Captain will cruise to Nara Inlet where you may go for an expedition in the tender, and a short hike to look at the Aboriginal cave paintings from the local Ngaro people, and learn about their ancient ancestral history in the Whitsunday Islands. A more energetic hike would be available on day 6 also for those that are keen to climb some mountains.
On our last day some guests may choose to rise early and board the tender for their last snorkel around the eastern side of Hook Island whilst the other guests may choose to have a relaxing sleep in and a late breakfast and just relax on the superyacht for the morning. After breakfast, we usually do a nice slow sightseeing cruise back to Hamilton Island to allow our guests to arrive in time for checking into their Hamilton Island accommodation or their departure flights from the island.
Prepare for your departure and farewells to the crew and fellow YOTSPACE voyagers and book your next YOTSPACE superyacht voyage.
