For a number of years, the world renown Hamilton Island Golf Club has played host to the national finals of the PGA Professionals Championships.
The event attracts professional golfers from across the country eager to compete for the $55,000 in prize money.
Nestled upon the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in the Whitsundays region, there’s no surprise why Australia’s best golfers are eager to claim a qualifying spot in this prestigious event!
Each year, six qualifying tournaments are held at various locations around Australia to determine the 50 entrants.
The competition takes place over three days, with registrations kicking off on Sunday, 29 October. Alongside the main event, you can expect an array of social events and competitions.
This year, Hamilton Island will play host to a three day 36 hole Amateur Stableford Event which includes a Pro-Am on the first day and a 36 hole competition with more $5,000 worth of prizes on offer.
Due to the island’s popularity, the 52 amateur spots are highly sought after.
