From July to October, guests can opt to upgrade to a private full-day whale watching charter, taking advantage of Hervey Bay’s position as the world’s first World Whale Heritage Site and one of the best places to observe humpback whales at close range.

Activities / Inclusions

Swim with Whales (Conditions Dependent) Only available on full day Whale Watching Charter July - October.
Guests may have the chance to enter the water on a surface-floating mermaid line, offering a safe and low-impact way to observe humpback whales as they move beneath and around the vessel. This experience is only conducted when conditions and whale behaviour allow.

Beach Access
During island stopovers, guests can enjoy time ashore and are welcome to swim from the beach at approved locations. No formal beach activities are scheduled.

Equipment
Wetsuits and snorkelling gear are not supplied. Guests should bring their own suitable swimwear and in-water equipment if they wish to participate in swimming or water-based activities.

Vessel Description

K’gari Breeze is a 12-metre Seawind 1200 sailing catamaran designed for comfortable small-group charters on the Fraser Coast.

The layout is practical and welcoming, featuring two bathrooms with showers and toilets, a bright saloon with kitchen facilities, and ample refrigeration with both a fridge and freezer. Indoor and outdoor living areas flow easily, while the wide front deck provides a relaxed spot to take in the views across K’gari and the Great Sandy Strait.

A motorised tender is included for shore excursions, allowing guests to reach remote beaches, sandbanks and quiet anchorages that can only be accessed by boat—perfect for exploring the untouched western coastline of K’gari.
