Start your day at 8:30 am from Cairns, cruising across the Great Barrier Reef to visit two of its most popular islands and resorts.

First stop is Fitzroy Island, where you’ll enjoy 2.5 hours to explore rainforest walking trails, swim directly from the beaches, or snorkel the surrounding coral reef. Your dat tour package includes use of snorkelling gear at both of these beautiful islands or a glass bottom boat tour.

At 11:45 am, continue to Green Island with informative commentary about the reef and islands during the transfer. Once ashore, you’ll have 3.5 hours to relax on the beach, join optional activities such as a semi-submarine coral viewing tour, take a guided snorkel safari, or browse the island’s shops and walking trails.

For lunch, pre-book a freshly packed boxed meal or upgrade to the popular Big Cat buffet.

Snorkel Safari – Fitzroy Island & Green Island

For confident swimmers and snorkellers, the Snorkel Safari provides access to reef locations not available to other visitors. Guests travel by boat with a Marine Biologist to explore exclusive coral gardens and marine life. The 50-minute guided tour includes all snorkelling equipment, lycra suits, and flotation vests, with expert commentary throughout.

Semi-Submarine Tour – Green Island

The semi-submarine tour allows guests to explore the coral reefs of Green Island without getting wet. Passengers are seated below sea level in air-conditioned comfort, with large viewing windows offering a diver’s perspective of the reef. The 30-minute cruise includes informative commentary from the crew, fish feeding demonstrations, and space for up to 27 passengers.

Picnic Lunch – Fitzroy Island

Freshly prepared by Ochre Restaurant & Tropic Spirit Catering, the picnic lunch includes a choice of baguette or wrap, accompanied by seasonal fruit, a muesli fruit bar, and bottled water. Hot individual dishes and special dietary meals (vegetarian, gluten-free, celiac, and pork-free) are available with prior arrangement. Please note: infant meals are not provided.

Buffet Lunch – Green Island

At Green Island, guests can enjoy a freshly prepared buffet lunch served aboard the Big Cat, catered by Ochre Restaurant & Tropic Spirit Catering. A licensed bar on board offers a range of refreshments throughout the day. Seating is in a fully air-conditioned vessel, providing a comfortable dining experience.
